Do you sell your quilts?

I'm not getting eggs at all and don't expect any until at least of february. But I have so few birds right now.

Yes, I do sell my quilts, have a few for sale in Everything Else now.

I've had a second hen from last year resume, so a total of 2 almost 2 years old hens, an Easter egger, and my lazy salmon faverolle with missing toes. I also have a few pullets that have started, mostly Orpingtons, and a Easter egger. I used to not like Easter eggers but now they are growing on me. So out of about 90 chickens I'm getting 4-5 eggs. That's enough for me.

Me, too. I didn't like beards or feathered legs and now, I have both here.

So... my "egg moment of shame"....
I had purchased some eggs from the farm that we get our milk from as theirs are truly outdoors running the fields with no-soy feed.

The weekend before Thanksgiving we had a dinner at our house with part of the family. My husband wanted to make deviled eggs so I had him use the eggs. Later, when I was making rolls, I realized that my roll recipe calls for 2 eggs. DILEMMA. NO EGGS.

So I had to call the neighbor at the last minute to borrow eggs!!!!! How ironic that here I am, the chicken keeper, and I had to borrow eggs from the neighbor!!!!!!

One of my this year's pullets started to lay last week, cute little green eggs - she is an Arkansas Blue Cross with I believe one of my Delaware hens. All the rest of the chicks I hatched are purebred Arkansas blues, and they are getting very close at around 22 weeks. Not bad this time of the year, when everybody else has quit laying.

Those are amazing! Do you have another venue to sell them on besides here?

We did have a website for Blue Roo Creations, then we closed it down when we couldn't find one that was cost-effective with the features we wanted. Then, Etsy changed their policy about payments and we refused to comply with their demands, so we don't have our shop open at the moment. And my business partner has health/personal issues so we pretty much dissolved our business. I didn't want to run it by myself. As far as how to purchase on BYC, that's up to the seller. I take postal money orders for my stuff and I mail the item when I get the payment. Others have Paypal, but I don't. The paypal belonged to my business partner and I never started one. We have a Facebook page for Blue Roo Creations where I showcase my work occasionally, plus sell birds, etc.

As far as selling fast, no, they were on for ages. Folks don't want to pay handmade prices for handmade originals. They want Walmart crap.

You or the birds? Sorry couldn't help myself. I'm eternally 5 years old.

Silly! I certainly don't want a beard and feathered legs!
