Getting 4 golden sex links and 4 delawares this weekend and I am SO SO SO SO excited. My first hatch that I'm buying with my own money. So these chicks will finally FINALLY finally be ALLLL MINE! No more sharing with my daddy ( not that I don't love sharing, I just really want my own!). Just hope I can keep them spoiled and healthy! Getting the pens ready in a few hours and that's just making me more excited.

Chicks just hatched and shipped yesterday and the post office just called to tell me I have chicks already! Hubs is on his way to get them! Can't wait to see my new additions.

My chickies are coming in next week! I have presold 11 but that still leaves 15 in the order plus any 'males for warmth'. Anyone else order recently from McMurray and know how likely I am to have extra males to deal with?

Thanks! One was lost. she was a red shouldered Yokohama. I think her neck was crooked...hubs said she looked deformed. Anyhow, the rest are looking lively and making all kinds of noise. For now, I have the bantams in with the LF babies but in a couple of hours, once their box warms up. I am going to separate them. They will have their own coop so, no biggie. I feel safer having them in another brooder with them being so tiny. I'll post pics in a bit.
