I have 39 eggs due over the weekend, and 3 pips as of this morning! My hatch cam is now LIVE if anyone is interested in watching

Only two weeks until my chicks arrive! Very excited and nervous...also thinking of adding a pair of ducklings to my order but think I might be crazy!

Mine will be here TOMORROW!!! I can't stand the wait! I ordered from McMurray, got salmon favs, mottled houdans, anconas, light brahmas, speckled sussex, and some rhode island reds. I've had the RIR's before but the others are all new to me. There's nothing better than babies chirping away, bless their fuzzy little hearts! I'll post pics when they get here!

My brother and I couldn't decide what to get so we ordered 3 polish and and one blue andalusian today!

Broody hen hatched two chicks today. I'm going out of town, so we'll see what is under her when I get back on Friday. Sad to be going, but so excited to be a grandma!

My 14 eggs are due to hatch this Saturday (five days!!!).
They are silkie x golden duckwing and black mutt hen x golden duckwing. The main purpose they were put in the incubator was to see if it worked! It seems to be working just fine since I have candled every day and so far 14 out of 15 are developing (#15 never started. It had a blood streak so I discarded)
So we'll see what interesting birds come out of those eggs, assuming they all hatch.
I plan to only keep a few since I already have SEVENTEEN chicks in the house with more coming in June and August. I think this is getting a little out of hand!

Greetings!

My six chicks (all different breeds) went in the mail today. My Pet Chicken is in CT, so I am hopeful that the chicks will arrive here on Long Island tomorrow!
