I am so excited! My babies are due to ship June 3! I am expecting 5 Barred Rocks, 5 Rhode Island Reds, and 5 Speckled Sussex! These will be my FIRST chickens ever! I leaped in with both feet and heart as well! I just can't wait!

Well I officially love the people at my post office! I gave them a call and they said that they automatically call as soon as they have a box of chicks come in. At least I know they don't leave the chicks in the back of their warehouse for a while before they call.

The lady is the Post Office said that if my chicks come tomorrow, they should be there between 6:30am-7-00am.

I am so glad I have seen people post pics of babies that are sleeping but look dead before I saw it first hand myself...that would have put me in a full on panic!!!

Also...I have official word that the chicks have left the building and are heading my way, due to arrive tomorrow or wednesday! Eeek! Tried to call my local PO but didn't get an answer. Will have to call back later, don't want to miss those chickies or have them sitting longer than they need to!

@MsChickenMomma Yes, it is my photo taken from my iPhone last night of my day old chick.

Congrats @AmpersatChick! I hope your babies arrive safe and in the best of health.
And you don't know how many times I STILL freak out over a "dead" sleeping chick and stare at it for ten minutes to make sure it's breathing.
