~The Forests of Avalon, A Dragon Roleplay~ 2

After following Silv to the pool, Adeline watched silently from the bushes downwind from his position. She had been sitting there for a few minutes, long enough to catch the yearning in his eyes as he stared down Pelendava. Camilla was wrong... She had sent her on a mission to evaluate Caronia, but Caronia was in shambles, tearing itself apart. No, it wasn't the threat... not right now anyways. But this dragon, Silvanious. He was different then the others, not bound to the mountain so to speak. He was a lone threat, but something told her that this dragon could possibly do more damage then an entire army.

Deciding that the time had come to introduce herself, she stepped slowly from her hiding place, exposing the front half of her body. Her face was narrow and sharply defined with high cheekbones that were quite visible under her creamy white scales. "Greetings, Silv." She said lightly, with a small smile that exposed the tips of her teeth. "My name is Adeline, and I have a proposition for you."

He almost turned his head towards the stranger's voice, catching himself and remaining stone still as he replied, "Silvanus."
It was enough that she had gotten so close, whoever she was, "I find myself not often open to propositions given to me by complete strangers."

"Pardon me, Silvanious." She corrected her mistake, matching his tone. Though he never turned to look at her, her eyes remained plastered to the back of his head, never moving. "Perhaps then it would be beneficial for both of us to get to know each other."

Silvanus grunted, drawing his hand back from the water. He let the ripples fade before turning to face her, "That depends on many things."

Adeline made eye contact with him the moment he turned to her. "Such as?" She questioned, tipping her head ever so slightly to the side. She was slightly shorter then Silv, and had to look up at him to meet his eyes. Her build was slight and slim, but not lanky or gangly. Underneath her scales was a layer of hard muscle that was just barely detectable by sight, her looks were easy to underestimate.

His breath hissed out in a humming chuckle but he did not smile, nor show any expression to ease the current tenseness on the air.
"Whether or not I am in the mood, for one. Your level of sanity next."

A small smile curled up the corners of Adeline's lips, but she didn't chuckle. "I have information, contacts regarding Avalon." She broke eye contact with him and glanced briefly in the direction he had been staring before, towards Pelendava. "I think you will find it useful."

"Your words mean nothing at this point, given your nonexistent creditability." he replied, "Tell me something, tell me about Avalon and I will decide whether or not you interest me."

"As we speak, Camilla is sending out a warrior from Pelendava to spy on Caronia. She knows that the recent attacks are due to Caronian warriors and is planning to deliver justice." She replied without hesitation, thinking how ironic it was that she was actually telling the truth, but that the spy was herself and she was already there. "The name of this said warrior and when he will get here, however, is classified. Partners?"
