"Yeah" He nodded slight in understanding, then chuckled "But if I fall asleep on my feet next time we see some action I'll never forgive myself!"

Just as the orange and black dragoness was soaring toward the cave in which Tenebrae resided, the shrill voice of another dragoness calling her caught her attention. It was Aglaia, a mother who often stayed in charge of children other than her own. "Gilda!" shrieked the slate gray dragoness, "Your eggs are hatching!" Gilda stopped in mid-air and hovered for a moment, a rare, genuine smile slowly warming her usually stoic countenance. "Don't just stand there, Gilda, come see!" called the petite gray dragoness. "I'm coming, Aggie, I am!" Gilda chuckled, diving hastily down to the nursery; a large crater in the ground, covered in a blanket of soft animal pelts. Her eyes lit up with joy as she saw deep cracks on the surface of both eggshells.

"Congratulations, hon," said an elderly dragoness that hobbled to the nesting site. "Thank you," Gilda replied, her voice cracking slightly. Then her face fell. "I have an urgent message for Lord Tenebrae, though-" "I'll take care of it," Aglaia interrupted. "Your children are your priority now." Gilda bowed and thanked her, giving her the message to take to Tenebrae. With that, Aglaia took off to the skies with her large, leathery maroon wings.

---Time jump due to terribly belated reply--

"Where is Lord Tenebrae?" Aglaia asked the guards as she nervously shifted her weight. She'd never spoken face-to-face with him before, and just the very thought of it caused a lump to harden in her throat. "I-I need to speak with him immediately. Gilda sent me."

"Guards, you may leave the room." Gaia ordered plainly, dismissing them with a casual sway of her paw, as she strode into the scene from inside the cave, her snout wrinkled in a slight snarl as she met eyes with Aglaia. "Lord Tenebrae is not here at the moment, but I'm sure you can tell me whatever it is that he needs to know." Aglaia nodded, her eyes awkwardly dropping to her feet. She could almost feel the annoyance seething inside of Gaia. "Gilda says that she spotted some Pelendavian dragons near our land. They found a piece of armor from The Great War and one of them seems to know its origin." She uttered gravely, her eyes slowly rising to meet Gaia's blue eyes again, which seemed to be on fire by now.

"What insolent fool would leave such blatant evidence of our existence out in the open?!" Gaia shouted, baring her fangs. "She probably didn't want to reveal anyone by picking it up!" Aglaia defended her friend, pacing backward uneasily. "One spy revealed for a short period would be a whole lot less to worry about than this!" hissed Gaia, beginning to slowly circle Aglaia. "Bring Gilda to me! She as head of the spies should be punished!" Aglaia's eyes widened. "No!" she shrieked, "She is tending to new-born children! Have mercy on her!" Gaia flared her ornamental fins and frills in anger. "You dare object to my authority--"

"Gaia!" A deep voice shouted, in a reprimanding tone. "You needn't punish her. Gilda has served me loyally for decades and I doubt that she would do this purposefully." Gaia bowed her head and kneeled. "I am sorry, my Lord. I... lost my temper." Tenebrae half-grinned. "And you forget that those are my children, Gaia. She is to be relieved from her duty until they are mature." Gaia nodded. "Yes, my Lord. Forgive me." With that, Gaia excused herself and left with her tail held low. "Now tell me, Aglaia," Tenebrae began as he redirected his gaze to the little gray dragoness, "What else did Gilda tell you? I've known that Pelendava is still limping along these days, but I must know all that I can."

The next morning Gabriel went out hunting by himself, he needed to get away from the city and breath. It had only been a few days since him and Dakaris had spotted the shining piece of metal, curiousity leading them to examine it and eventually report it to Camilla. The strange markings on it had meant nothing to Gabriel, or Dakaris for that matter. That made him feel a bit better. But despite his confusion about the markings, what baffled him the most was that Camilla and Amatis seemed to think it had something to do with The Great War, and Sauron's victory over Silas. Gabriel had heard the story enough times to recite it by heart, it was told to all the young dragons and dragonesses. When he was young, sometimes his own mother would call him back to the nursery when he ventured too far saying: "Come back Gabriel or Silas will get you!" Something about Camilla's tone, however, made him uneasy about the whole thing. He trusted her judgement, and hearing her consider that option made him wonder... Was Caronia actually a real place?

While Gabriel was hunting, Camilla was pouring through the library, searching for any information she could find about the myth and Caronia. Even more importantly though, how to read Syriac. The strange markings on the piece of metal Gabriel had found were written in Syriac, she was quite sure of that. But it didn't give them much information unless she could read and understand what it meant. Does it really matter though? A small voice asked in her head. You know Caronia exists, you don't need words to tell you that. Camilla shivered, though it was warm in the library. She closed her eyes and sighed deeply, seeing the dragoness staring at her again.
