Ok I showed him your little eye candy! Then I sent him to bed! Sweet dreams little guy.

The turkeys are getting really big. Harvey girl squatted for one of the toms the other day. He didn't know what to think of that and there's no way I'll let him breed her, but he's as big as the breeding toms right now. It's funny because I played with them the same as the midgets, but they just don't NEED to be with me like the midgets do. They will watch, but just not as needy in the love department. They also are harder to get in he house at night wanting to sleep outside. I won't let them though.
yeah, my slates and royals were like that, no inside coop....gotta be on top of the coop. I would run them down every night. I finally just gave up. Next morning....up before the roosters started crowing. Phyllis still has no coop, well, other than her nesting box and my back yard at this point. I really didn't want her hatching turkeys that will end up sleeping on top of my house. That's why she was out in the half *** coop. Now that that's out of the question, wonder if I will have a turkey and guineas sleeping on my roof? I do have one RP, one RPxGN and one RPxBS in grow out. But I know Phyllis, she will have nothing to do with them. And the Lilac tom? Forget it! She absolutely hates him.

Hey guys!!

Had to jump through posts, so sorry, I missed lots of fun stuff, you guys are awesome!! pysanki... hope you get that fox bagged!! and WOW, your yard is beautiful!!

Just wanted to stop by and say hi!! My summer has been terribly crazy and busy... needing to sell about a dozen birds for space for the ones I have growing out that I want to keep... time to post on craigslist...
Rained a LOT here today, which is sooo nice, because it has been HOT and here that means DRY... been spraying down the birds every afternoon they get so hot and panting, I can't let them out to free range everyday, and even though their run has shade, it's always cooler in the grass...

Hope you are all well, will say again in a couple weeks, probably, planning on turning the bator back on after school starts, for some well started birds before winter sets in... oh, and my garden is coming along nicely, time for pics =)

Hi, brand new to this site and was wondering if anyone one right now knows about muscovy ducks. Have two that I'm dying for opinions on the sex of them?..

my yard is only pretty in the garden. The dogs have beaten the grass to death. I was thinking about buying astroturf. day 8 for no deaths...a record!!!! still got fingers crossed that he will decide my all-you-can-eat chicken buffet is out of business.

Glad you stopped by! good luck selling the birds. I just gave 11 cockerels on friday to the friend who will eat them. I felt so badly but what can you do? I still have 9...ones I couldn't bear to part with like the Chocolate orps. Hoping that the freeranging will keep the girls from getting over mated. (they can run) it is about a 1:4 ratio now. oy.
