Blooie, I'm so sorry for your Dtr's assault. She is right to press charges. If this bozo lives in the same apartment complex, he needs to be evicted. By pressing charges, that should be able to happen. She also needs to get a restraining order to prevent further contact, but I'm sure you've all already thought of that. Even so, she may feel safer, and actually be safer if she moves.

Ducksanddoxies: Sorry also for the loss of your special needs duck. It's the weak ones that tend to grab our hearts. I think it's b/c we're hard wired to want to nurture.

I washed the leg before spraying it with blukote. I think I cooled it off too much doing that.

It's better this way. I think it was a little boy anyway.. just thinking about that makes my head spin. I would've nurtured it back to health, get attached and I wouldn't be able to stick it in the freezer.

I believe you did it.  the word Like is also a link.  I clicked on it and it took me to my own FB page....  So I would assume it does that for anyone sending them to their own page.  I would delete that as well.

sorry to hear about what happened. My kids both live in the "big city" and I worry about this all the time. And I would like to let you know that the pictures still link to facebook. Don't know how to fix that. I think you probably would have to download them to your computer then upload them here. That's what I did with the picture of my Dad from his birthday party. It was from my cousins facebook page.

How are you feeling today? and how much can ya eat.

Feel ok, getting up and down from chairs is a little tender, from the bed i need hubs to pull me vertical.  To all you moms out there who have had a c-section, I salute you.  I've always known I'm a weenie when it comes to pain but I don't know how you can deal with getting cut in half like that. I have 4 small 2cm incisions and one 6 cm incision where they pulled out the stomach but dang they hurt.  I'm on a full liquid diet for 3 weeks to allow healing.  Last night was the first time I had a problem, I took some liquid hydrocodone with tylenol just before bed and it tastes so nasty I followed it with water.... apparently I tried to consume too much because it cam back out... nothing in my tummy other than liquid but dang, did that hurt.  So.... I'm grying to consume 1 oz every 15 minutes of either water, chicken broth or a protein drink.  It will be interesting to see how this progresses!

I had a bikini cut c section with my first child and it was horrible. I don't do pain meds well. Morphine makes me barf no matter the dose. Hydrocodone makes me immobile along with percocet, darvocet,etc. If I can't kill the pain with asprin I suffer through it.

Yes ma'am, progress reports all the way through...we worry! That's what we do, and we're good at it.

Blooie, I'm so sorry to read about the assault on the kids, I know I sound like an old fart when I say it didn't used to be this bad. Makes me crazy.

Update is getting better every day. Pain is less than the day before, I'm hoping at one week I'll be able to sleep on my side again. I know I'm having a fairly easy time of it compared to some of the folks. I actually got teased a bit by a few people who didn't think I needed the surgery because I'm a "lightweight" meaning I need to lose less than 100 lbs. when I was walking the hallway in the hospital with some of the other folks who were larger, I'm glad I didn't wait until I was no longer a lightweight. You could hear them in their rooms being sick. I promise after this surgery that is NO fun. I've done it once as a result of taking pain meds and I won't do it again! I went to the doc the first time when I was 217 at 5'3". This morning I was at 204. I'm still struggling a little bit to get 60 grams of protein and 60 oz go water every day. I've found the tomato soup protein drink does not sit well in my tummy any more. I'm on liquids until July 30. I'll keep everyone up to date. . Thanks for the support.

I am very interested in your progress... I am a heavyweight... at 5'7" and a little under 400. And hoping when obamacare finally gives me my paperwork they will allow me to do the surgery. I cannot go any higher.... I cant....
