Ok I may be asked to leave the porch.... but Those bedrooms Looked for the most part neat and clean and organized. Floors were clean of trash and scattered about objects. The only one that disturbs me is the one in Argentina.
We cannott compare these with Western standards. Not everyone has what we call a comfortable bed. Not everyone has Toys. Bedrooms are for sleeping.... and in many places the light goes out when the sun goes down.
We need to invest our resources here in the US.
Practical Jokes aside humor is VERY important in all societies.

Really? That one looked like a dream bedroom for boys! My boys would have loved to have a bedroom like that.We are very pro hunting, though I wouldn't be letting the boys keep guns in their bedrooms and such, as there is a place for guns and it's not in boys' bedrooms.![]()
For the most part, the more education a boy has with firearms the least likely they will have accidents or point one in anger, IMO. My boys were mainly trained on bowhunting and have never really committed to hunting deer with a gun, but were turkey, deer and squirrel hunting with good success with a gun by the time they were 7 yrs old.
It's a cultural thing and especially in Kentucky and WV mountain regions.
I agree with the mean nature of pranks....never been a fan and never allowed my boys to participate in such. First, they involve a lie and that's a big no-no with my God and with me. Second, they usually involve someone looking like a fool and feeling bad and that's also nothing I want to encourage in my life...not intentionally.
I might have to go with you Deb. Just because we as Americans have perfected waste, that doesn't mean that everybody needs to reach our level of waste to be happy or "okay". I know people who are just as poor as most of these people but they are very very proud of all that they have and they never whine because so-n-so has more than they do. I do believe in helping other people where ever they are in the world but I am more worried about them eating than their comfort. Am I the only one that saw the bias in the selection of the countries and bedrooms shown?
Oh yeah, I love humor too. Cruel - no. A good joke even if it's on me - yep.![]()
Exactly. The guns were a little too "featured" in that room for my comfort. But that could have been the photo-stylist's work?
Hunting is one thing. Paramilitary is another. I've observed "boys" who will fake an interest in the former to pursue their interest in the latter. Poorly "guided" boys, to be sure, but ...
Here ya go, LJ.....here's something that will lighten your heart about April Fool's day: http://jobs.aol.com/articles/2014/0...rid7|customfirefox|dl12|sec1_lnk2&pLid=459898
Seems we aren't too busy this morning.....would you mind helping me name this pretty boy?
I don't usually name chickens but always name the roos so I can be clear when talking about the chicks from any particular roo.
He is a SG and his daddy was named Spartacus or CUSS for short.
He has big black beard and grey streaked "hair" Red naked neck. Grey hair on chest.
[ stands 6ft 1 and weighs 185 lbs]....NO! that's not right!
He is short and hairy legged!
