There is nothing like a good friend!
I had a frizzle bantam cochin that I absolutely loved she was the sweetest chicken. She decided to go broody about 9 months ago so I let her hatch several eggs and she was a very good mother. When the babies were about 3 or 4 days old somehow, never could figure out how, a skunk got into the nursery pen where she was and killed her and all the babies. I have wanted another frizzle ever since but just could not find one within driving distance. I have a friend that she and I email each other daily and she knew how bad I wanted a frizzle hen and she has tried to help me find one to no avail. She emailed me yesterday and the conversation went something like this, " you know those 3 new baby banties that I got at TSC a couple weeks ago?, the ones with the fuzzy feet........ you are not going to believe this but they are frizzles and one is a pullet and I want to give her to you". She was right I couldn't believe what I had read. We both had been looking for frizzles for so long and she had just unknowingly stumbled into purchasing three! I drove right over and picked up Matilda the frizzle.
Now that is a true Friend! Thanks Cheryl!!!!!!
