The Front Porch Swing

He's flue-ing from both ends ... got either a stomach bug or the stomach flu. He doesn't cope with being "down" very well and he was down all day yesterday. He ate a banana this morning. Then went out shopping. It's progress, but my goodness he has no patience for self-care!

TPTB never do, do they? I'm glad he's on the mend...for his sake and for yours!

Now he needs some fermented foods....heh heh..you might remind him of that....

Thanks!! No, I don't have a roo. All hens. I do want one though.

Can you guys pray for my father? He spent all day yesterday with "flu" from both ends (should be spelled flue, right?) and still feels rough this morning.

He is 77, and still running the farm and two related businesses and socializing virtually every night (pretends to be "at an appointment"   ), so besides being at an age where it is sensible to worry about any passing bug, it is massively inconvenient and frustrating to him to be down.

Hey Leslie, forgot to tell you, I'm saying a prayer for your dad too. I know it is rough and a bit scary when older folks get sick. Tell him to get well soon!

He is in my prayers!! I am glad he is so active. May he have many many years left! Give him a BIG hug for me!

(Flue: opening in chimney/duct pipe) Flu: illness)

Good Morning everyone!
I have been lurking here for a few days, ever since my friend told me this is where she like to hang out...took me awhile to figure she wasn't really sitting home on her front porch!
She is a very dear loving person. She said and I quote "
There is nothing like a good friend!"
That's the truth but it takes a good friend to have a good friend.
I hope you all are as blessed as I am with someone as dear that not only loves our LORD but also shares the chicken "addiction"
She is the perfect enabler!
BTW you all have become my favorite "swingers" and look forward to hanging out on this porch also when I can, hope you all have room for one more on this wonderful swing.

Welcome SonRise! Would you like some sweet/unsweet tea? Like Bee says, sit anywhere but the bucket! There are hay bales, porch railing, and I see some empty chairs. Come anytime!

Lisa :)

We have lots of yogurt, but I've been tempted to make him FF pancakes. Or just serve him a bowl of it with raisins and honey. Think he'd notice?
