We've gotten rain! I mean, technically we got rain this weekend, but we got even more today! I was outside a lot, blocking off parts of the chick coop because the wind was blowing the rain into the coop. Unfortunately, rain was blown into the little pen where the broody hen and her chicks were. One of them got too wet and passed away. It was a sad loss, but I am really glad we didn't lose anymore than that.
The goslings and Muscovy duckling were fine. I added more more to all the coops and put in some things to block the water from coming in.
The rain did help with more than one thing! Pulling weeds was ridiculously easy and though I didn't remove much, tomorrow morning I can start again and hopefully get more done. I really want to get something into the garden this year and it looks like I'll be doing it all alone, so the only one who I can rely on for this is me.
