day7 we will candle

Blue Partridge Brahmas - shipped bubble wrap and shredded paper- upright - 4/8 viable
BBS Orps - shipped bubble wrap and shredded paper- upright - 6/6 viable

all sawdust filled carton eggs were same supplier

Basically all this shows there is no rhyme or reason as to how shipping and packing effects eggs

The posts above seem to confirm the fragility of turkey and goose eggs.

My next goose attempt will involve 12 eggs from a hatchery. If anyone wants to donate some better packed goose eggs, I will pay for shipping.

Oz do you have pens for all these breeds or do you just keep a mixed flock?
I know you give a lot away too

I currently have 13 pens. 2 really large, 5 that hold 12 birds and 6 that hold 6 birds.

My plan is to move the 150 chicks that I am giving away into a large shelter and a netted area. Its going to get very tight, very soon.

It may be time for a big chicken dinner soon!

I need to learn to send 6 eggs without the possibility of one broken, detatched, etc. what is the most accurate way you find? I may use bubble wrap, but I have no idea where to get half a dozen egg cartons....
