The Great Egg Shipping Experiment!

7 EE's & 11 of the Marans eggs from the last shipment went into lockdown. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks Ron! A couple were question marks but I left them in anyway, no stinkers. I culled 14 out of the 32 eggs before lockdown & eggtopsy showed all good decisions.

Those look like my eggs! Where did you get them? I even have those 2 1/2 dozen egg trays! I hope they all hatch for you!

I have three chicks that hatched yesterday under a broody hen on the floor of the coop. I gave her three duck eggs to another broody.

Got the eggs from DMRippy here on BYC. The 2 1/2 dz trays are mine.

Congrats on your new chicks! How is your ducks wing doing Wisher?

Funny you should ask. The tip, about a inch and a half, came off this morning as did a patch of the black skin on the wing that was about an inch long. The tip of the wing bled a bit as did one edge of the spot that the patch came off of. It looks like I can see tendons or bone on one section, but the duck looks and acts fine. I sprayed the whole thing with BluKote and put her back in her pen!!

Day 20, Strange out of the EE's & Marans I had one Maran pip this morning and hatched out this afternoon. It is still in the Incubator. Nothing else has pipped yet.

The EE's started hatching and are coming out like little Bulldozers. I have 4 hatched since my last post.
