Hans is doing so much better! In fact, he has a problem most every guinea pig wishes for - he needs to gain weight! He ate lettuce to his hearts desire. Now he craves celery and carrots. He's been getting Timothy grass pellets (because alfalfa is high in calcium). He's still getting his medicine via syringe to ensure that he gets well cleaned out and we don't have the typical reoccurring kidney stones.

The other two pigs are so jealous that he gets to eat so many delicious foods, so he has to share some ;)

They are so cute. I currently don't have any but do want to keep some again one day.

Do people commonly let them outside? Can the be put in a pen to graze? I once owned one years ago but didn't actually know what I was doing, so now I am trying to learn a bit about them before acquiring one.

Thanks! Mine live in a large chicken run with ducks, chickens and a Patagonian cavy. I posted here really curious if any others mix GPs with hens?

Just realized I have the cavy and gp pics and cavy and hens but they're all in the same run
