As i said,... the struggling/ WORKING middle class will be the ones to keep getting the shaft....
They make too much for "food stamps" yet still struggle paycheck to paycheck..
Somethings not right when you are WORKING and getting more behind.. yet you CANT get ANY assistance because you make $100 over the income limit for help...
Yet folks that CHOOSE to have several kids (and yet cant afford to FEED them..) get free food and all kinds of assistance... go figure..

Somethings not right here...
I have been there too. I was married and we had no assistance and survived. If you are going to judge me, I hope you are perfect.

There are about 22 million cars in Mexico, about 250 million in the U.S. Mexico has about 120 million people and the U.S. has about 330 million.
Its the American corporations pushing for Mexican privatization to take over, and the expense of the Mexican government. Can't they see that???

I blame George Bush for the financial crisis and the ridiculous war on terror - a war on our rights as Americans and human beings All started under his watch. He is a weasel. Please don't get me started there. I am first a libertarian and very much a capitalist and would prefer no laws regarding how I hire and pay my help. That isn't going to change under the Republicans or the Democrats.

The Republicans lie. They have manipulated this entire primary process and it disgusts me.

Have you been paying attention to the primary season? All of them (except Ron Paul) zero in on the poor, blaming "entitlements" for our debt problem. How dare they call themselves Christian. They prefer wasting money bombing other countries while cutting programs which help make sure children do not go hungry. Sick and twisted.
If you call George Bush a weasel for the war on terror Obama is a weasel as well. So much for that getting out of war campaign and also bombing libya.

It all began under Bush. I am a Ron Paul supporter, and not anti Barack Obama. And for the record, I did what I could to let our President know I was very displeased with his actions in Libya, and I am also trying to tell them to get out of Syrian business.

I am also a Ron Paul supporter. Just showing that Obama is just as much a war monger as Bush was.

Who was it that payed no attention when Bush warned 17 times about the housing bubble from 2001 ( a year before Ron Paul) till it happened. Didn't Obama vote against reforms when he was in the Senate ? So didn't Obama help make the mess he blames on Bush ?

But why would you stop at health care why not go to the oil companies or the lumber companies and on and on take the profit out of everything.

Pay for the oil with tax money and everyone gets free gas.

That's interesting and the answer must depend to some extent on whether you favour a State, private or mixed economy. I go for the last.

Britain nationalised public utilities after WII. They included coal, steel, gas, electricity, water and the railways. They were used by powerful unions to fight battles with government and they were inefficient. Looking back, that was a result of the times rather than the fact of ownership. Most of the major utilities were sold off to private businesses and any customer who wanted shares. Since then, many of the now private utility companies have been bought by State sponsored French companies, capital investment has been poor and huge profits have been made. This is despite contracts between the government ans the owners regarding customer care standards.

I think that it should be possible and desirable for major national resources and services to be managed effectively in public ownership.

I'm going to bed now. This has been an interesting chat here in the chicken forum. Good night all.

I actually see it from both sides, republicans lie democrats lie republican spend democrats spend. Either way the working class pays for it simply because there are more of us and we are not wealthy enough to buy out of that system and we refuse to leech off someone else... we are dependable and politicians know this.

Have you read my sinature line? if there is a will there is a way... the will is for them to take from us and the way is through the government.
