Noone's taking food away from children living in poverty...It's the people who can't quite make it down to the poverty level who have to worry.
Here's your statement: "As I have said before, it's time to bring the troops home from that War on Poverty. It's going on a 50 year war, and we are throwing money into a black hole." So yeah. it is going to be those who live in poverty who will pay and most who live in poverty are women and children. End of story.
Are you saying that's my statement ?

You know I have heard that children will starve and old people will die for 30 years and have yet to see kids get skinnier and old people die sooner. There is more food available today than ever before and people have access better than before. In America if anyone goes hungry it is not from lack of food but maybe lack of access.
No politician would ever run on the idea that they will starve children or actually do it. Crappy slug parents are what starves children not the state or either party it is all political posturing.
So children should suffer due to your disdain for their having "crappy parents"? That makes a lot of sense, you have convinced me - those kid should have picked better parents! Playing the blame game doesn't solve social problems for those who cannot provide for themselves: Children, elderly, infermed and the disabled.
