The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

Congratulations on your final of the season hatch. The first and only so far is a Rhode Island White chick. I'm working hard on them and my Rose Comb Rhode Island Reds. The new coop is for the RC RIR's. Hopefully next year I will have some really good birds from them. I had a coyote and an owl kill most of my RC RIW's a couple of years ago. I had 1 male and 2 females to start over with. I did get some eggs from another breeder last year. My Whites are improving. I think in a couple of more years and I should have some really nice birds. My only worry now is I hope I live long enough. Getting old is for the birds.

Never give up... never give in. ;)

@cmom eggs have arrived at the local post office. Will go and pick them up as soon as I can get a break from work. Hoping they had a nice, comfortable ride...

I have been tracking them too. Some of the chicks hatched last night and a lot more due today.

Having a good hatch. some of the chicks are project chicks. I just put some in the brooder cabinet and the others are still in the brooder boxes drying off and fluffing up.
