Were you there? I got BB for my RIW pullet. No champions this time but happy with what I got (BB, RB, BV, RV). I only showed my Rose Comb RIW and RIRs this time and a White Leghorn cockerel.

I wasn't there. I copied and pasted the pictures and info from Facebook.

Joey, how is your RC RIR male doing? Any pictures?

As far as I know, he's doing good. I gave him and several SC cockerels to a friend. I traded for some heritage BPR when he has some chicks later in the spring. I plan to visit him in the next week or so, and I'll get some pictures then.

Quote: The next show for me will be close to me in Inverness, FL. The Citrus Classic on October 28, maybe the Pensacola show in December 9, The Florida Sunshine Classic, Lake City, FL. January 6, 2018, Newnan GA. show February 17, 2018. But you never know what is ahead. I now have 4 families from males I got from Matt over the years. Been cleaning out the girls and now it's time to put the males in with the females I want them with. Tomorrow will be the big move. Just finished fixing pens and still working on coops. Next week metal roof will go on two of the big coops. Have to get the lumber for the purlins and some screws. Pre-drilling the metal so we will only have to screw the metal into the purlins. I'm getting too old for this. We have a young fellow coming over to give us a hand. He likes hanging out with DH. How many coops do you have? You have different pure breeds so I assume you keep them separated. Good luck and have fun...

I hope you can make it to as many shows as possible. I'm glad you have someone who can help out getting the metal roofs put on, and maybe a few other odds and ends that need tending to.

I only have three coops at the moment. I had four, but the one I originally built for breeding pens is now just that... breeding pens. It is divided into 3 sections, but only 2 are in use. The 3rd section just needs a pop door and ramp, and it'll be ready for use when the time comes. The last coop I built (12'x16') is divided into 2 sections, with separate runs for each section. I'll have to construct a growout pen or two for the youngsters when they arrive. I have a couple of months before that becomes necessary, so there's no major rush on that.
