The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

WOW SUPER BIRD. The Rhode Island Red bantam was put into the standard in the 1930s and are as Heritage as Apple Pie. There are more of them alive today than large fowl Rhode Island Reds. Sure has dark color and a solid green tail. Are they suppose to be this dark.???

Does he have any Mowhawk in him Bill? Bob

A picture from about ten to twelve years ago. Some of my old Rhode Island Red pullets resting in the afternoon. Have not seen this picture in years. They where from the old E W Reese line from Tompkins Ga. Hope to have some more like this next year.

a special foot note the little Rhode Island Red bantam that is in the picture next to my name is from these old large fowl females going back 22 years ago. I shrunk down the large fowl to a bantam.

I also have some Don Nelson. Was not too impressed at first but as they are starting to grow, they are looking better. I will try to get some pics if and when the sun comes out.
