I just did a cull of my young birds. I got rid of several cockerels. I still have over sixty young reds and thats not counting
all the New Hampshires. I had quite a few promising looking reds.Now time to go back and feed,feed,feed......

Anyone in the area of Savannah, GA looking for Heritage RIR's? These are Rademaker line birds. I have both Single and Rose Comb but may be keeping the single comb birds for now. Very nice start if anyone is looking to get into these beautiful birds, hatched around April of last year. PM me for more information....

How well do RC RIR lay? Are they as prolific as the SC RIR?

From what I understand, the Heritage SC RIR don't lay quite as well as the production reds, but the SC RIR have a longer laying life.

Did I get that right?

I would also love comments on their personalities and the roosters aggressiveness.
