The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

it could be the picture but its legs are more centered and it looks like its chest will be more squared off then the 3rd. Heck im no expert but thats my opinion. Its hard to see everything in a picture.

Yes. One good picture of each chick standing in the same spot in the same pose was quite a trick to pull off in the first place. I was hoping to learn what to look for while these chicks grow and further my knowledge. I was so busy looking at their backs I forgot about that square look including the chest. I can see it in that first chick now that you pointed it out. Thank you!

Hi all- I never got my RIR's yesterday, Duane Urch only shipped the mixed bag chicks. However, there was one in there that they told me *might* be an RIR... But I don't think it is, looks more like a MGB. Here are some pics:

My one bantam red went broody she was sitting on way to many eggs and she smashed almost all of them,do the remaining eggs have a chance at hatching?

R i red Hatching eggs are hard to come buy. Started chicks are a lot easyer. Not enough folks out there yet who can supply eggs. The good breeders have to many orders for chicks and cant afford to waist eggs in the mail or they dont fool with eggs or chicks in the first place. Be patient.
