I think I found the strain and source for folks who want high egg production birds. They are called ASI Browns and they also have production reds that should lay like crazy. It is a old hatchery in Michigan. I may order some ringneck pheasants from them this sping.

I got a personal message from one of the members of the site who saw a old tread who helped me run down my search.
There are a few people who want to try thier hand on selling fresh brown eggs to help make a few dollars. If you are going to go this route you got to go with birds that pop the eggs out each day. Also, there is a spot on thier site that shows how the collect thier eggs and put them in the incubator and as they hatch and send out in boxes to their customers. Big operation and nice lay out in Michigan.
When it comes to large fowl Single Comb Reds Dave Anderson has a great old line on the west coast and you will be happy with them.
William Bennett does a great job sharing his Reds with others and you can get chicks from him.
Don Nelson has some good ones one of the finest lines in the East.
Greg Chamness has my old line of large fowl and I hope if you get some from Greg you will take pictures of these birds so we can see what they look like. What I have seen from my two friends from Colorado they still look Great.
There are others I am sure some are just getting started and just dont have the breeders yet to share with you but will someday. If you send them a personel message they will let you know if they will share eggs with you. Dont forget to ask if they would send you some four to six week old started chicks. You can fill up a single nest box with Red Large Fowl Chicks and ship them overnight mail. They will get to your home in 20 hours or so and you will be in the Red Large Fowl bussiness. Hope you all who want this rare breed of standard fowl get them. I sure would like to have some more. bob
