Me, too! I'm getting a few chicks (5) from Duane Urch's stock, but I'd like a few more to go with them.

Thanks,

Becky

There is someone who lists on Ebay amidst all of the regular red birds. I would love to have some of those birds but I have no space right now. The auction is only for 6 eggs but the birds look beautiful. Search for "Rhode Island Red eggs" and that listing will come up if they have any available now. I know there were listings this last week but haven't checked today.

As someone stated a few post back, there are plenty of red chicken eggs for sale, and very few true heritage rir's eggs for sale. Atleast for me, i can only find one who sells eggs. I can see why there is so few true rir's because almost everyone with production reds call them rir's. Some people are even selling production red eggs and claiming they are heritage. I see this as a Big Big problem. I would guess/hope most don't know the difference. If i'm not mistaking one reason this thread was started was to teach people the difference. When people post a picture of a production, i think people need to be honest and tell them what they have as some have done in this thread. This is a problem that will never be fixed unless people that have productions are told what they have, and if they continue to sell heritage rir's even when they know better they should be exposed. I don't see any difference in someone saying they have full blooded english bulldog puppys for sale when they are really american/english mix.

Including some people on this site!

Well, I did it again! Came home from a show with something new. I have to learn to stay away from the sale area. I guess if I haven't learned that in 49 years of going to shows I may not ever learn it.
Brought home 3 pairs of large Fowl SC Reds. They are from Don Nelson's bloodline & they look pretty good!

BTW: I also had the Grand Champion of this show on a SC Rhode Island Red Bantam cock.

This is him.

PS: Also had best AOCCL on a BB Red Malay Bantam cock.
