"English, please." Despite the flames glinting in her eyes, Aella's request was polite as she gave Ciro a glance. She looked away quickly, gaze snapping to Juliana, and she came forward, the heavy heels of her boots snapping random twigs and clanking heavily against the stone dais.
"I don't think you want to call me that," she hissed, clenching her teeth. She tossed a ball of flame, letting it land in front of Juliana's feet, grinning.

"What is wrong with you!?" She took off her heavy winter coat and tossed it over the flames before they could grow out of control, and stomped it out. "Are you trying to kill us all!?"

Kevin stepped between Juliana and Aella, putting his hands out on either side. “Okay, okay, it’s okay. Everything is okay. Please, let’s all take a deep breath. No one has to fight, we can all get along. No one is crazy. Please don’t fight.” Kevin pleaded as the people around him started to argue. He shot a glance at Lilith, silently begging her for help. “Ne boris', pozhaluysta. vse budet otlichno.”

Juliana decided he was at least partly right, everything she said was making things so, so much worse. So she shut her trap and watched the evil flaming girl through her tear filled eyes, hoping she would stop trying to set the forest ablaze.

"Please, English, yes." Kylan muttered under his breath.

"Yeah, and I can sense what people are about to do and what they're feeling." Lilith sneered, shaking her head. "You've really never seen someone with powers before?" She muttered, then motioned towards Kylan. "I mean, he can fry something with his finger tips."

Kylan scrambled after her, wincing as she threw a ball of flames, and watched as Lilith jumped out of the way, nearly falling into Kevin. Weren't we like, thirteen and eleven when we last saw each other?

She shook her head not looking away from Aella, and biting her lip.

Colby scrambled out of Nat's grip and turned to face her with a triumphant grin. "So, Ms.-I'm-Too-Old-For-Disney-Princess-Movies, care to explain how exactly you know that song?"
Nat was too busy being transfixed on the scene beyond them to even dignify him with a response. "Uh, is that girl on fire?"
Colby whirled around and beheld the displaced crew for the first time. "Hey, there's Take!" He started running toward them with abandon. "And Blair and Cam and Kipp and Clary and Haddie!"
Nat facepalmed epically. "Colb--" She threw up her hands when she realized he wasn't going to turn back and took purposeful strides to catch up with him. "You already know these people. Of course. Why am I surprised?"
Kipp's ears perked up at her request. He had some, but not on him it was in his bag. Which, should be around here somewhere, it was under his desk, when the floor fell apart.

"Ah, there it is." He said quickly going over to the scattered contents on the forest floor, and grabbing the small med kit he kept with him at all times. "Here." He said coming back and handing it to her.
Blair spun at familiar voices, ignoring the fight behind them. "Colby! Kipper!" She couldn't help but grin at them, her eyes lighting up. "It's good to see all of you again. Even if it's not the greatest circumstances."

"Pleading's not going to get you anywhere." Aella snapped, stepping towards him. "Get out of my way." The flames roared higher, and engulfed her, flickering at the edges of her skin, lapping at her hair and torn clothes, but not burning her. "Now."

Haddie sighed. "Yeah, they tend to do that." She glanced around at the chaos. People fighting, trying to communicate, trying to get home. "We're screwed." She said softly. She pushed her head against the tree as she began dabbing at the deepest chest wound. "I don't suppose anyone has any neosporin?" she said, raising her voice through grit teeth to attempt to catch people's attention.
Take gave a hearty laugh, “Oohh yeah we are...” he agreed, turning his head to notice how almost all of them started showcasing their abilities or powers. At the mention of ‘demon’ and seeing fire being emitted, he tore his eyes away.
Kipp's ears perked up at her request. He had some, but not on him it was in his bag. Which, should be around here somewhere, it was under his desk, when the floor fell apart.

Take took a hand out of his pocket, raising it with a wave, “Yo Kipp how’s it going?” he smiled lightly.

Lilith paused, staring at him for a second. Bro, I don't speak Russian. She slowly nodded, her powers kicking in and filling in the ruffs that he didn't want her to fight. "Okay, I won't." She said quietly with a nod, before looking towards Kylan. "Stop walking. Don't fry anything." She ordered, which he obeyed with a confused look.

"What is wrong with you!?" She took off her heavy winter coat and tossed it over the flames before they could grow out of control, and stomped it out. "Are you trying to kill us all!?"

Kevin glanced around. The only person who wasn’t cooperating was the scary fire lady. By the looks of it, getting her to calm down would be difficult. “No,” he said firmly. “No one is hurting anyone. She’s sorry. She was frustrated, and didn’t mean what she said. No one here thinks you’re crazy.” Kevin said. He slowly sat the chickens down, using his foot to gently nudge them towards Lilith. He held his hands out in a non-threatening manor. He was very aware of the shotgun strapped to his back, and he hoped he wouldn’t need to use it.

Juliana let out a breath she'd been holding, watching her opponents movement, she was going to have to fight this fire person or run. She didn't know this place, running was a good way to get lost forever.
"Back off." She growled, pulling a can of yellow spray paint from her belt. "Or everything will be on fire." She didn't know how else to threaten this girl, obviously she didn't mind being on fire, but maybe a few more would try to stop her if they were in danger. Or... She reailed, they'd just tackle me, stupid. I'm so stupid.

Bane was laying on his bed, his hands held above his face as he examined his silver ring, fingers tracing the engravings on its sides as they had done countless times before. His thoughts wandered as his fingertips continued over their course by memory. College had been nothing but a disappointment, sure it had only been the first day, but it seemed as though nothing, not even school, could distract him from the emptiness he felt without his mom. There were moments when he was really caught up in something that he was just like himself again, but it was impossible for him to be like that all the time, no matter how hard he tried. The only way he’d found the strength to keep moving forward was the knowledge that his mom would not wish for him to give up and forfeit his own chance of living a happy life. Expressing his thoughts in his journal had also proved to be a worthwhile endeavor; a chance to open up and free himself of the things he felt but didn’t want to say aloud. He slid his ring back onto his right index finger, and, sitting up, grabbed his journal along with a pencil which were laying on his bedside table. He then began to write: They say people handle pain in different ways, that at some point in your life you will be broken and have to find a way to put yourself back together again, but you have to want to be fixed. I struggled to understand what that meant at first, but then I’d remember all the happy memories that I’d shared with my mom and wonder: could I be like that again? Wasn’t it selfish to think that I could ever feel joy like that again without her? Or, was it selfish to close myself off and only remember how much I miss her instead of remembering every wonderful thing she had done for me when she was alive? It took me some time to except the latter as being the truth, but when I did I could almost feel myself mending, obviously I had made no physical change, but it was an internal change, an internal feeling that I can’t really put into words. Some days I wonder if my dad even recognizes me, or hears me when I try to talk to him. All he ever does is stare at mom’s picture as though that will magically bring her back somehow. Still, I have to hope that someday he will want to be fixed too, because I guess no matter what, you can’t give up on family. Bane closed the journal and set the pencil down on his bed beside it. He then got up and walked to his closet, grabbing his favorite white hoodie, which he had gotten on a trip to Florida, and slipped it over his head. As he reached out his hand to open the front door, he called over his shoulder, “Dad, I’m going out.” He did not wait for a response because he knew he would receive none, but it made him feel better at least to know that he was trying to communicate with his dad. As he closed the front door behind him, Bane glanced up at the gray, clouded sky, just another reminder of the cold and rainy weather which had recently been hovering over San Marcos, Texas. He began treading towards the dirt trail which went on for several miles through the woods surrounding his neighborhood. It was rarely used by anyone except him and he found the scents and sounds of the forest calming, especially the soft gurgling of the small brook which ran along the trail. Bane stooped down and dipped his fingertips into the fresh, cool water; he could feel the unmistakable surge of power which ran up the length of his arm and spread throughout his body. From somewhere to his left, there was a quiet, but audible, sizzling sound. A sudden moment of déjà vu caused him to reach up and cautiously pat his head. Bane breathed a sigh of relief, his cheeks unceremoniously becoming a shade of rosy pink a moment later as he remembered his first day of third grade when one of the kids in his class had accidentally set his hair on fire. Embarrassment flooded him over how much trauma the event had caused him, however, he was quickly brought back to the present as a second, louder sizzle of electromagnetic energy was emitted from a... what was it? Gap? No. Hole? No. His brain seemed to be struggling as much as his eyes were as he tried to take in what he was seeing. The answer came to him at last: Oh yeah, they call it a portal in those science fiction novels or whatever! He felt a bit stupid at how proud he was at figuring it out, but decided to focus on the portal instead and take a closer look. As he slowly crept towards it, he observed how jagged its edges were, it reminded him a bit of the times when he had tried to draw a nice, uniform circle for art class, but they had always ended up looking more like the portal. He was about a foot away from the portal now, but he decided to take one more step, just out of curiosity. Unfortunately, his gaze was so intently focused on the portal that he completely missed the baseball-sized rock that was right in front of his foot, which was ominously slippery from the consistent amount of rain the city had gotten that week. He realized his mistake as soon as his foot made contact with the rock, of course it was a bit too late at that point. Next thing he knew, he was on his butt and sliding right through the portal. He flew across a limestone dais, leaving a trail of San Marcos, Texas mud behind him and, as if things couldn’t get any worse, ended his journey by face-planting into a large cedar tree. Fortunately, his face had collided with the tree where a convenient amount of moss was growing, nevertheless, he was making some comedy-worthy faces as he attempted to regain the feeling in his nose.

"What is wrong with you!?" She took off her heavy winter coat and tossed it over the flames before they could grow out of control, and stomped it out. "Are you trying to kill us all!?"

Juliana decided he was at least partly right, everything she said was making things so, so much worse. So she shut her trap and watched the evil flaming girl through her tear filled eyes, hoping she would stop trying to set the forest ablaze.

She shook her head not looking away from Aella, and biting her lip.
"Pleading's not going to get you anywhere." Aella snapped, stepping towards him. "Get out of my way." The flames roared higher, and engulfed her, flickering at the edges of her skin, lapping at her hair and torn clothes, but not burning her. "Now."

He held his hands out in a non-threatening manor. He was very aware of the shotgun strapped to his back, and he hoped he wouldn’t need to use it.
Lilith clenched her fists, shooting Juliana a look that said 'thanks a lot, look what you did.'
She shook her head, turning to Aella. "Lay off him. We didn't say you were crazy, she did, and if you could help us out and wait before you roast us, then you could prove that you're not." She said silkily, her hand resting gently on her dagger as the skin receded off her metallic arm.

Kylan shifted from foot to foot nervously. Before hand, the fire lady hadn't seemed so threatening and actually acted nice, then the purple haired lady just had to freak out. And, honestly, the Kevin dude seemed nice too, plus Lilith had been his and May's friend years ago.
He watched as Lilith's skin turned to metal, and his eyebrows shot up suddenly. That's... New. He shook his head, deciding to actually do something. The faster this stops, the faster I find Torin. He slid up beside Aella, giving a small smile. "Hey, c'mon. The freaky lady stood down, these two didn't do anything." He said, noticing that him, Lilith, and Kevin were now surrounding her. That's... Probably not good to be crowding her. He stepped back slowly.

I'm.... pretty? Kipp eyed Cam with a sideways glance, not sure how to respond to that. He looked down at the blaze orange bird shoes encasing his toes. She probably just didn't know what to say either. But so much for taking my sweater off, I'll just have to suffer.
"Who's Noah?" He asked trying to change the subject.

A bloody golden retriever dashed out of the trees it's bright blue eyes staring up at them in a panic. Haddie? Two large dogs bounded through the trees behind her, and suddenly there was a mound of growling and snapping fur and teeth in front of them.
"HEY!" He shouted, grabbing the pit bull by the wrinkled loose skin of its neck and punching it in the face. The dog turned, snarling and snapping it's teeth at him. "Leave her alone!" The dog twisted grabbing Kipps forearm in it's teeth and biting down. He clenched his teeth in pain, "NO. BAD DOG! DROP IT!" He growled as forcefully as he could muster, hitting it over the head a couple more times. He wasn't even sure if these were real dogs or people, but it was worth a shot.

At Blair's arrival the pit bull let go, to cower next to it's companion.

"Why would I be-" She was cut off by Aella.

"Aliens?" She paused to look back up at Kylan skeptically. "You're all insane!" She she stepped away from them wide eyed, bumping into Kevin, who was pulling chicks out of a portal. She stared up at him overwhelmed by the absurdity of the situation. THIS is insane. All of this. This isn't real. This can't be real!
"Out of my way!" She yelled slamming her hand into his ribs as she stormed past.

Kipp watched Haddie slink away to sit against a tree, she looked pretty badly hurt. He rubbed his hand over his now bruised arm. He'd be fine, thankfully the thicker fabric of his sweater had protected him for the most part. "So, who's Noah?" He asked Cam again.
Cam shifted the conversation away from the flaming lady, near the dampest tree she could find around the dais’ perimeter, gesturing at Kipp to follow. She drew in a breath. Her voice acquired a hiss-yell undertone.
“Noah Chandra. My neighbor. I was asked to babysit the neighbor kids. So I did. AppARently he thinks it would be a good idea to walk into huge swirling portal thingies. Naturally I had to follow him. BUT...” here she threw a hand wildly at the trees surrounding them. “He’s not here! Could he have been transported somewhere else?”
Ciro hurried through the darkening streets of Mexico City, toting a steaming grocery bag with pride. His shirt was torn, he was missing a right shoe, his right hand was bleeding from embedded glass shards, and he hadn't slept in three days straight, but his heart was soaring.
Señor Ruiz at the market has just given him an unexpected bonus- a full turkey dinner, complete with sides and desserts.
Oh, he was beyond excited to come home with this feast. Mama, Gabriela, and Alicia hadn't had a magnificent meal like this since last year.
And he was going straight home. No diversions. Nope.
His eyes caught a bedraggled shape emerging from a passing alley. Ciro paused mid-skip to wave heartily. Of course, if there were any leftovers, he'd have to pay a visit to Señor Velez- where'd Ciro seen him last? Perhaps at the far end of Canal del Norte. There was a comfortable bench there that the elderly señor preferred for his bed. Or maybe he should go first to Señora Abalos, or even the Esteban twins, but those boys could get their own grub if they really wanted to---
Suddenly, the air seemed to spasm before him. He should've stopped then.
But then there was a shimmering hole that his blithe run carried him straight through.
He flailed desperately and reached for something, anything to hold him here.
But it was too late. His grappling hand found purchase, but it was around a vegetative frond that broke away in his grasp. Now it wasn't dark and there wasn't a manmade structure in sight.
Eyes wide, he spun a full circle. The only familiar element was, ironically enough, the air crackling behind him as the tear began to reseal itself. He reached for the closing gap to his world, but his trembling hand faltered mid-air. Various young people around this forest seemed to be going through similar throes as they were each removed from their own realities. "¿Que solo happened?" he blurted loudly, his breath coming hard and ragged with panic. "¿Dónde estoy? Who are you?"

Kyle threw his hands on his hips and waved. Who am I, chopped liver? Mr. Beck, right here.

Kyle threw his hands on his hips and waved. Who am I, chopped liver? Mr. Beck, right here.
Colby skipped up to his friends and beamed ecstatically. "How are you guys?" An indignant flurry of motion by their feet attracted his roving gaze. "Oh, Mr. Beck, too! Awesome!"
He whirled around to grab Nat's hands and shoved her forward with surprising strength. "Oh, and this is Nat."
Nat raised a hand with as much nonchalance as she could muster with a burning woman in the vicinity. "Yo."

Kevin glanced at Lilith, forcing a smile. “It’s okay. I have this.” He said, but he didn’t look too confident.
He saw Kylan back away, realizing how close he was to Aella. Hm, probably smart. He followed Kylan’s lead and took a few steps back, pushing Juliana behind him.
