The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

It was hard not to launch herself at Aella when the ginger started signing something along the lines of 'jealous, jealous girlfriend', but Take's grasp brought Blair to her senses, and she looked up at him. "My...niece?" It took her tired brain a moment to catch up, before she blinked rapidly, realizing what he meant. "Yes, my niece! She's got dark blonde hair and like...green and blue eyes. Looks a lot like Cynthia– that's not going to help because you don't know who Cynthia is– and she's like this tall." She spoke rapidly, barely taking a breath before she brought a hand up to around her hip, measuring the height of her niece.

Blair's fingers flexed in Take's grasp, her gaze whipping around at a panicked small voice. Only then did she realize that Cam, Nat, Colby, Ellie and someone else she didn't recognize, were running off into the woods, just barely stopped by Kyle and Rylie. She opened her mouth to say something, but a mixtura between Aella's low, sing-song voice, the chatter of the group and anxiety didn't allow her to actually say anything.
Take nodded, absorbing her words of the rough description of her niece. He looked towards the others, who were leaving them behind, “Come on let’s go” he told her, switching to a one hand grasp as he started to jog after them.

He was slightly taken aback by the straightforwardness of her question, having convinced himself that he had handled the situation very smoothly, but he decided to blame his brain and answer her question. Bane was at least comforted by the fact that she hadn’t thrown any scary accusations at him, well not yet anyway. “My special talent is water, I’m able to control it and other stuff like that,” he said matter-of-factly.
Juliana's eyes lit up with surprise, that wasn't at all the response she was expecting. She stared at him slack jawed for a moment, and then couldn't help but look at the obnoxious girl hanging upside down in a tree and singing loudly, a small smile crossing her face.
"You don't say. I'm Juliana." She said thrusting her hand out for him to shake.

Lilith cocked an eyebrow at him, giving a small laugh. "It's so trippy to hear someone speaking in... Russian? What does all that mean?"

Kevin chuckled, his face turning a faint pink color. “Heh, I forget Russian is not a popular language with Americans. I told her to stay with me.” He said, looking down at his pocket.

Lilith grinned, small dimples appearing on either sides of her lips. "Yeah, no. Not many of us know it. I actually started to learn it when I was in high school, but... That got cut off." She murmured, glancing up at the skies to further study the large bird circling over head as she spoke.

He observed her reaction carefully, feeling like he had missed something, but decided to give his brain a rest. His gaze then followed hers, finally resting on a girl hanging upside down from a nearby tree. Maybe she’s trying to impersonate a bat? Although last I checked, bats don’t sing. “At least there’s someone here who seems to be enjoying themselves,” he sad flatly. Her next words had him feeling both shocked and relieved. Relieved that she no longer sounded prepared to take him to court for having an unexcusable special ability, but pleasantly surprised all the same. He grasped her hand, “Nice to meet you, I’m Bane,” he replied, grinning.

Kevin raised his eyebrows. “Really? Wow, impressive. Russian can be a difficult language to learn.” He almost asked her what happened, but her solemn tone told him not to.
He followed her gaze to the large bird flying up above, before back to where the others left. “C’mon, the others are getting very far ahead.”

"Well, Bane, nice to meet you. My special talent is, dancing." She flashed a toothy grin, "It's not exactly practical, but," She shrugged letting go of his hand. "It's all I've got." She nodded toward the trees, "Looks like they're all leaving without us. Wanna join them, or go some other way?" She asked quite happy to have found someone who could keep that crazy girl away from her.

Charlie stumbled out of the undergrowth, right in front of the group. "Hey," he said, panting a bit, "thought I'd find you guys here."
Maya appeared behind him, looking around at the strange assortment of individuals. "You know these people?"
"They were in the bug quest with me."
"So, you weren't lying." Maya muttered, mostly to herself. Then she punched Charlie's shoulder. "Why didn't you say so sooner?" She demanded.
"I did," Charlie complained.

“Dancing huh?” He said, smiling back at her. “Well, I’d say that’s definitely a talent, and one that takes a lot of practice too.” He cast a glance to his right and watched as the majority of the crowd began treading off in one direction. He then turned back to Juliana. “I don’t know about you,” he began, “but I think I’ll be going any direction that bat-girl over here,” he gestured to the girl who was still swinging upside down from the tree, “isn’t going in,” Bane finished, grinning.
