The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Cam noticed that it wasn’t just her barefooted self who was running into issues. Well. I’ll just have to fix that, then.
Could you open up a path for me and my friends?
she thought, directing her thoughts at the trees and plants around them. No answer. Please? she added.
Centuries old trees moaned in protest as they begrudgingly cleared a path through the forest. Cam was surprised by the ease of it, like the plants were more impressionable, like modeling clay ready to be molded. Cool.
Ellie stood stunned for a second with her lips parted in disbelief, “wow you really are good with plants” she murmured

“Thanks,” Cam said. She was grinning. She had a sense of pride for her abilities and liked to show them off to those that appreciated them.

Despite being one the very last to depart from where they'd all dropped in, Ciro had already made his way to the front of the traveling group with ease, treasured grocery bag in hand. He placed a hand to one of the trees that had just shifted and gazed at the deep whorls of its bark wonderingly. He looked toward the two chatting girls, not wanting to interrupt, but unable to keep his marveling to himself either. "You did this?"

“Thanks for that!” Kyle said to Cam. Not that a clear path mattered so much to him, but the others were falling behind, and it was so much easier to keep track of them this way. He kept an extra close eye on the fox boy, since he had wandering tendencies. The last thing Kyle wanted was a repeat of the bug journey.
Seriously, why do I even try?
Also, though he didn’t want to admit it, it was also nice to see in all directions. The forest creatures seemed to like all those nice little shadows to hide in.

Ellie shared her smile “how many times now have the group relied on you and your power to get them out of sticky situations?”

“Yep!” Cam grinned, peering at Ciro closely. He was unfamiliar. Until now the only people she had spoken with could be put into the ‘old friends’ category.
This boy had pretty eyes and darker skin, but it wasn’t quite like her own. He was the one who had been speaking in Mexican... er... Spanish.
“Where are you from?” she asked. “I’m Cam, from Ohio.”

Aella hissed at his grasp, her entire arm and shoulder bursting into flames. "What is your problem?" She took a few steps back when he shoved her, looking him up and down. "You need to calm down, dude, I literally just walked behind you."
“It triggers me alright? I get mad anxiety when people do that” Take explained, clenching his fists as he took deep breaths to soothe himself.
Kipp glanced up at the new girl that had decided to match his pace and walk with him. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and shrugged his shoulders up. Maybe if he just ignored her she'd go away. He sighed again, ignoring people is what caused the problem in the first place.

"Why are you wearing that mask? Were you burned by acid or something like that?" He asked, quoting The Princess Bride.
Suprisingly, Hana decided to utter her first words for the first time since she got here, even though it wasn’t the most desired question.
“Something.. along those lines..” she murmured softly.

Blair treaded carefully. Warily. Watching and waiting for something to come from the impenetrable shadows, her gaze flicking side to side.
She kept a calm facade, only someone who was paying close attention would see the little signs of her anxiety. Her fingers curling and uncurling on Kit's collar, her flickering gaze and careful steps, each footfall precisely placed as to not disturb anything, not even rustle the grass.
She kept her place up front, drowning out the chatter of the group and focusing instead on the forest. The way the wind whispered through the branches, the skittering feet of tiny, unfamiliar creatures. The snap of twigs–
Her head shot to the right, searching the darkness. Warily choosing her steps. No, the snap of twigs wasn't normal. A cold shudder ran down her spine, golden gaze flickering across the trees as they groaned moving out of the way at Cam's command and–
There! Something within the shadows moved. There was no doubt. Her breathing increased, and so did her heartrate and footsteps. Something was hiding in the shadows. Waiting. Watching. Tracking their every movement.

Ellie hovered next to Cam. She hadn’t seen her in so long that she just wanted to stay next to her.

Ciro ran his fingers through his hair, shaking his head at the awing craziness of it all but never losing his grin. At this rate, he figured his family wouldn't be enjoying their food hot, or maybe even at all, but he'd sure have a story to regale his little sisters with. "Ciro, from Tepito, Mexico City." He offered his free hand -the comparatively indurated one- to Cam and made sure to give a broad smile to Ellie. "Is it...oh, perdón my ignorance, but is it, uh, just a force you use or...an actual sort of communication between you and the plantas?
