The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Seina nodded, thinking he meant it had come to him. Then turned her gaze out over the open field, worry lining her face. No doubt they would be sending out we-sa after them soon. And while the rocks they were hiding under now would hide them from the sky, the longer they waited the more likely it was that they would be found. Especially this close to the Dakrium. She noticed Torin still looking at her, and quickly put a smile back on her face. Resuming the flitting about of the small red bug creature she'd created.
"We have to keep going." She said quietly, she was tired, and the rain was starting to come down heavier now, but they couldn't stay here any longer. Seina climbed to her feet ducking under the low over hanging rocks. "We can't wait for them forever."

-----
Chion jumped up awkwardly onto her four feet, unused to legs and arms that were the same length, and nudged Torin and Alex with her nose. Doing a strange head bob to try to communicate that it was time to go. She didn't like that they were leaving without Fred, but she knew the other girl was right. They had to keep going or risk getting caught.
-----

"Come on, I'll carry you." Seina said holding her arms out to Elon. She gave the lumbering creature a small frown of curiosity, when it hopped up and tried to get the other two kids on its back. Either it could understand what she was saying or it was trained very well.
Torin gave Seina a last smile, before climbing onto Chion and nestling down into her fur.
Aria looked at the sky. It was darkening, “guys. I think there is a storm now if the wildlife here are any indication the storm won’t be pleasant. I think we need to get going”
Kylan frowned, swallowing the last of his good tasting food, much like a cross between a mango and raspberry.
He sided up to Aria, looking up at the sky as he listened to the others' chatter. "Yeah, yeah we need to get outta the midst of the forest before it's nightfall and raining."
Kevin frowned. “I hope not. The last thing we need is more missing people,” he said absentmindedly, spinning in a small circle as he walked. He couldn’t help admiring all of the colors. He had never seen trees as bright as these before. “I knew someone that would’ve loved this place.” Kevin said softly, taking a moment to examine a glowing pink flower.
Kevin picked the bright pink flower and carefully tucked it into his pocket. Standing up, he looked around. The others still hadn’t caught up yet. They’re probably still eating. He thought. He frowned, looking up. The clouds looked darker than they had earlier, indicating a storm. “Looks like it’s going to rain,” Kevin said, watching the strange bird-like creatures take shelter in the trees. “The trees should give us some cover.” Still, they would probably get soaked, and walking in mud with wet shoes was going to be unpleasant.
He adjust the strap of his gun, continuing through the forest. The farther they could get before the rain started the better.
Lilith shrugged and nodded a little. She smirked a little as he began spinning as they walked, pausing by him momentarily to snap a photo of the literally glowing flower before he plucked it up. "Yeah..." She murmured, reminiscent as she thought back because of his words. "I did too."
She followed him absentmindedly while he spoke, before glancing up and groaning. "Oh great, we get to be wet now. Ya-ay. Hopefully the rain here doesn't induce shrinking too, I don't think I can stand being little-me again." She said, brows furrowing. "They should give us at least some."

Kevin gave her a sideways glance as they walked, noticing a sort of sad tone in her voice. “...Was it May?” He asked, hoping to know more about Lilith and the people she was close to. “You don’t have to answer that, of course.” He added.
Kevin chuckled, following her gaze back up. “Or worse, acid rain. Everything else in this forest has been dangerous, so who knows how bad the rain will be.” He said, subconsciously adjusting his chicken-carrier to cover the birds more.

Aria shot him a smile, the risk of a tree catching on fire was to great for her taste

Despite the chaotic emotions Blair felt, she was still there to catch him when his energy drained completely and he gave into sleep. She sat against the wall of the shelter, stone digging into her back as she adjusted him, holding him against her carefully. "It's okay," she whispered, resting her chin on top of his head gently. She released a shaky sigh, wrapping her arms around him. "It'll be okay." Doubtful. It's got to be okay. We'll be okay, we'll fix everything.
Take stirred silently in Blair’s arms, air drifting in and out of his nose quietly. His roughened face peaceful and content as he slept. He was still able to hear her words until they faded away, becoming lured away to an infinite plane of white, nearly blinding him the second he opened his eyes. He shielded them with a forearm, glancing in all directions, “Where are you you stupid gremlin?!” He shouted, demanding for him to show himself, “I know you’re here! Hurry up and show yourself! I wanna-”
The demon pounced onto Takes back, piercing his sharpened claws into his shoulders, hitching himself a ride. He bounced up and down like a child, “GIDDY UP HORSEY!” he yelled right in Takes ear excitedly.
Take flinched from the demons high-pitched screaming, his anxiety kicking in to toss his arms back and snatch the demon by the horns then slam the creature into the ground. He hadn’t been triggered like that in a while, his heart rate skyrocketed, leaving him to stare down at the demon with a glint of panic in his eyes.
The demon laid face up, a wide disgusting grin greeting Takes gaze. He pointed up at the triggered Taco, giggling “I got you! Look at your face! Priceless!”
Take settled himself, brushing off the humiliation and got straight to the point “How do I break your deal with Blair?”

The demon jumped up to his feet, pivoting to look up at the distressed boy. “Break? There is no such thing as breaking... Only sacrificing something that means more than what the deal does...” he explained, crossing his arms deviously. “But you don’t have anything to sacrifice...”

Take clicked his tongue at the demons answer, knowing he was right about the last part. Even if he granted him more control, the demon would end up hurting Blair either way. Every path that he thought of would have the same result. She doesn’t care about her scars.. but I do... He wasn’t willing to accept that he couldn’t do a thing to save her from himself. There has to be a loophole.. something.

“Wait! I can let you have my whole stash of Cheez-it’s... you like those right?” Take blurted out, thinking of the second most precious thing to him. Blair being the first.

The demon gave Take a blank stare, his beaming smile fading. After realizing what he’d just said, his face became overfilled with joy, tail wagging like an excited puppy.

“You can eat them all. Enjoy them to yourself.” He’s just like a freaking kid.. gotta appeal to them somehow.

“Y-yeah” Fred replied shakily

"I didn't sleep very long, did I?" Kipp asked a bit confused about where and when he was. It felt like he'd slept for a while since he had dreamed, but it must have been only a few minutes. He glanced back up the hill toward the door they had left, though he couldn't see it anymore through the trees and behind the hills they'd come down.

The combination of Ashira and Bella in his dream made him feel like he should be going back after her. The thought of Ashira dying when there was something he could have done to prevent it was eating at him.

She hopped into the tunnel, only having to crouch down since she was so short, and helped the small girl along as the others trailed behind them.

Grafe followed Ashira into the small tunnel, his shoes instantly filling with water. He looked up trying to see past the people in the tunnel to the exit, but all he could see was darkness. He used his hands on the close walls to feel his way forward. Going slowly so he didn't run in to Ashira. As they made their way forward, the rumbling sound of thunder grew louder. It had been a long time since he'd been above ground, and a smile crossed his face at the prospect of being out in torrential pouring rain.

Torin gave Seina a last smile, before climbing onto Chion and nestling down into her fur.

Chion paced the ledge back and forth unable to see a way down. She didn't like the feeling of the rain crawling on her skin under her fur.

---

Seina wandered away from Chion, searching for any possible way to make it down to the river. It would really help to get down, and out of the open. There was a steep gravelly slope that had been washed out by running rain water, that might work.

"Over this way!" She called then realized that there were no humans back there that would understand her. She was surprised when a black and white snout bumped into her leg. "We should be able to get down this way." She said, pointing at the washed out part of the cliff. Seina eyed the tregdar, wondering just how much it could understand her.

At last they exited the tunnel and went into the pouring rain. She did her best to keep as much rain as possible from falling onto the small girl. Normally, Ashira didn’t mind the rain. She loved it, as a matter of fact. But she hated when it was like this. Soaking through her clothes in seconds, sinking into her bones and filling her with a special kind of chill.

Blair didn't sleep. Instead, she watched the rain and lighting, keeping her mind as blank as possible. She didn't want to think, because if she started thinking, then she would spiral back into the same pit of darkness she had been trying so hard to stay out off. And she couldn't spiral. Not at that time.
Then she noticed the increase of Take's heart rate, and the subtle twitching of his muscles. Her brows drew together slightly, wrapping her arms tighter around him, but didn't wake him up or say anything.

“Not particularly long”

Chion didn't know what the young boy said, but from the sound of his voice she could tell he was tired. She butted her giant head gently into his knee to cheer him up, bending around awkwardly. Normally she would have given him a hug, or a pat on the shoulder. But it wasn't possible with her current shape.

Being a non-humanoid was getting annoying. But she had to find something she could wear before she could change back. The likelihood of that happening anytime soon though was slim to none.

Chion followed the other girl out into the rain loping along behind her. Unconcerned about any guards following them, they'd probably just think she was one of the pack mules and she wouldn't even get in trouble for being out there if they got caught.

They ran from rock pile to rock pile, stopping for a couple of minutes at each. Until they had made their way down the gently sloping grass hill. Coming to the edge of an extremely steep rocky cliff.

She peered over the edge looking for a way down. There were a few trees growing out sideways from the rock wall, but they looked like they were barely hanging on as it was. And jumping out to the just seemed like a really bad idea.

The gathering rain waters had made a bit of a river that sprayed over the edge, cascading down to the rock strewn sandy ground below to join the larger river that they'd been aiming for.

She didn't know what to do to get them down there.
"I love you too, hairy dog," Alex muttered wearily. He closed his eyes and covered his face when they slid down. When they reached the bottom, Alex carefully brought his arms away. He was spattered with mud. He tried to rub his eyes again and got mud all over his face.

(Wait, did they slide down already?)

Nearly an hour went by before Take finally woke, succeeding in setting a deal with the demon and finding out he couldn’t have two deals at once. Though the demon wasn’t too excited about not getting to play with the wolf, he would still try another time. Take was also able to figure out that the demon didn’t want to actually get rid of Blair, the wolf inside her convinced him he still wanted her around, not knowing any other entity that was as fun as her. Takes eyes flickered open, seeing the weather had calmed somewhat. It still appeared windy, but the rain wasn’t as severe as it was earlier, and the thunder grumbled in the dark clouds. Take remained quiet, feeling Blair’s arms still tightly around him. He smiled softly to himself, remembering her words of endearment. No one had ever said those three words to him before, and he was unsure of how to respond. That was really bad timing though... to say that while we we’re arguing... but I say them back right? “Blair. How do you say I love you in French?” he whispered.
