The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kylan had set Torin down, and now the boy looked up at the bent Aria. "There was bad things?" He joked.
He followed Kylan when he began walking behind Lilith, but kept his eyes on Aria.

Lilith sighed in relief as her friends began following her, grateful for their trust.
She stepped inside the odd home, heart rate starting to jump a bit as her stomach felt acidic. "Well, seems I have more questions than are answered." She said gruffly, leaning up against the wall. "I didn't think that Corona would get here this fast."
“It seemed like such a big deal then, but it feels like such a minor problem now,” Cam said. “I mean, c’mon, we saved Earth from being invaded by aliens!” Although apparently our sort came from there originally. Does that make us aliens? She would have shower thoughts about this for future ages.

Aria jogged after Lilith, “gosh if it’s like this here. What’s it like in Sydney”. “Of course not, I was just being humble” she laughed turning her attention back to Torin

Torin giggled.

"Yeah," Lilith murmured. "all the big cities. Sydney, Nashville, Chicago, New York. They have to be... Bad." She shook her head. What would I do if Mom got sick? Would I care? Do I?
She nodded mutely to Cam.
She looked around, suddenly on some kind of search. "Kyle has to have a laptop or something here, we need to check the news. See what the toll is, what's all happening. I'm saving my phone battery in case I need to make calls."

(He does have one of those. Idk why I didn’t mention it before.)
“This one?” Cam asked, noting an open Chromebook against the wall. In the crowd of people, even with the bright fluorescent lighting, she hadn’t noticed it before. It was plugged into the wall next to a landline phone. It was an honest wonder it hadn’t been stepped on in the clamor.
She clicked the power key and it hummed to life.
Fortunately there was no passcode. Who would break into his little storage unit anyways? It was always locked. (From the inside.)
Cam had a pleasing mental image of Kyle tapping the keys like those little guys from Night at the Museum as she opened Google Chrome.
“Does those Google letters have masks on?”

“Fair point. How would he even carry it? It would squash him!” Aria pointed out
Lilith gave a huffy laugh.

Lilith scrambled over, rubbing her hands. "Great job, Cam! Uh, yeah... Great. That seems so positive. Ah, just, just google 'Coronavirus' and see what's what. We need answers, now." She sighed, frowning. "And be ready to see... Unfortunate news. I have a bad feeling."

“I don’t have to...” Cam says. “I can just click on ‘Covid-19 News.’ And if you want to know, it’s Saturday, April 18th.”
Cam clicked on “Covid-19 News.’ “‘Death Toll in US tops 40,000, governors face pressure to reopen,’” she read. “Whoah, that’s dark. Wait, after all our hard work is the world really ending? Was this brought here by Olim to weaken us before he invaded that became some kind of last laugh before he died?” It seemed plausible.

A sudden, unforeseeable panic seized Ciro from out of nowhere. This couldn't be it. He couldn't let any of them go, and definitely not her.
Yet it was down to just the two of them.
No. No. No, there was so much more...
He whirled around to confront the questionable operator of the vortex, jarring Taquikkar enough that she too turned toward to address the source of his anxiety with a definite growl. Kyle completely and entirely had his respect, but this Laurel character was another matter entirely. Someone who just phased back and forth, whenever it was convenient, just didn't sit well with him.
"Where---" He took a deep breath that rattled in his constricting throat. He'd really worked on his composure under stress these past months and he wasn't going to throw all his progress away the moment he stepped foot back on Earth, let alone before he even got there. "Where does that thing go, exactly? We all came by separate ones, did we not?"
(Oh, Heavens, I forgot your post.)
“This one goes to Missouri. Where the coffee shop was,” Laurel explained. In the Great Library of Literature (as it’s name meant in English) the adventurers discussed with him all of the adventures they had had together with him.
"Missouri?" Aella wasn't actually sure were Missouri was, but from her knowledge it wasn't near New York, and certainly not Mexico. That thought made her heart beat a little faster, though, at the thought of being away from Ciro when they figured out how to get home. They'd gone through far to much for that.
"It's not bad for me, not like I have anywhere to go home to in New York, but Ciro..."
