The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

The griffin flew nearer. (If it is provoked, it will attack. If not, it will see the size of their group and fly away. I have a different animal planned.)
Cam was dismayed by the lack of plants that were not grass. She was basically defenseless.
Korim, Rylie, and Kyle looked at the griffin defiantly.
Neither knew anything about griffins, other than their dangerous potential.

Kevin eyes drifted to the sky, widening as he saw the giant beast. Its golden feathers ruffled in the wind, and he could hear its cries echoing down towards them.
It’s beautiful, Kevin thought, staring up in awe. As it drifted closer to him, a hint of a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. It didn’t seem too dangerous, at least not yet.
As it landed in front of them, Kevin took a small step closer to the front of the group. He cast a glance at Take, who didn’t seem thrilled to have it in front of him. “Don’t shout, you’ll agitate it,” he said, “we’ll just go around. There’s plenty of open space.”
He watched the griffin carefully, avoiding direct eye contact as he slowly moved to the side of it. He hated the thought of fighting it, especially if one of his more. . . Impulsive, travel companions was the reason it attacked.
Hana followed Kevin’s lead. She found it difficult to take her eyes away from the magnificent creature much like the rest of her group mates. When she managed to do so, she vowed to never forget this experience.

After a moment or two, the griffin finally fulfilled what it was sent out to do. It’s head rotated and nipped at what was tied around it’s neck, hidden underneath it’s brilliant feathers. The griffin returned its attention to the group of travelers and set down a cylindrical container that withheld a written message. Giving the group one last glance, it engaged in a rapid uplift into the air and reunited with the sky. It’s cries grew distant as it flew back the way it came.

“What’s that?” Korim asked.
While much of the group watched in awe, Korim was quick to snatch the container it had dropped. He unfurled the paper inside. (What does it say? In what language?)

Korim scanned the note. “That’s cryptic,” he muttered.
Korim read from the note, it was in Borealan characters. “If you come any closer, it will prove to be dangerous for you. My people do not wish to have any dealings with your sort. Go home.”
Korim looked around at the wilderness. “Well it’s a little late for that. Waste of parchment.” He shoved it back in the canister, wondering whether to leave it.

“Hey lemme see that for a sec.” a voice came up behind Korim. Take suddenly grabbed the canister with the note from the boys hands and yeeted it far away. If you looked close enough you may have seen a twinkle of light in the distance. “No one tells us what to do” he growled, not caring if the group would be unwelcomed guests. They were on a mission. He kept moving, determined to get to their destination.

“They can if they kill us,” Kyle pointed out, wincing at the sparkle of light in the distance. “Are you sure we should bother these people?” He asked Korim.
“Of course,” Korim said stubbornly. “They can’t be that hard to convince.”

“Then don’t let them kill you” Take retorted, looking over his shoulder to flash a smirk down at Kyle. At this point, Take truly believed he was immortal, solely because he hadn’t died yet— which was not how immortality worked. Even though he had the ability to self-heal and wasn’t as fragile as any ordinary human, everyone else couldn’t avoid death so easily. Especially in Kyle’s case since he was incredibly delicate.

“It’s not me I’m worried about,” Kyle said.

"We have children with us," Blair retorted, beckoning to Emma curled against her. "And animals. Just because you think you're superman doesn't mean we all are. Not everyone can just go knocking on death's door like it's a game." She could see it is his eyes, the smirk pulling at his lips, that he really wasn't taking it as seriously as she should have. "And even you aren't immortal. So stop thinking you are."

Take held a blank expression, his smirk fading away from the onslaught of her words. “Damn, that’s all bad.” was all he managed to say. He didn’t admit it, but he could feel that his ego had been wounded. His hero complex had been used against him and it was explicitly stated that he wasn’t immortal. “Then just all of you just stay the hell out of my way when we fight something... it’s as easy as that.” he muttered harshly.
