The Honey Factory

It is 51°F today. The remaining hive of Italians proved they are still alive even after the -5°F of a couple of nights ago. They are out flying today. They have also cleaned off their landing strip of the dead bees they had been disposing of there.

If they make it another 3 weeks, I will start feeding them.

We had a day in the high 20’s. I walked out to the bees and found 4 dead bees within 5-6 ft from the good hive. We had snow this last week, the bees were on the top of the snow.

I think I have live bees still.
Mine were out flying this morning when it was still 42°F. Bee droppings everywhere.
