The hunting/fishing thread!

You’re old fashioned. This is my 3rd year with one of them. I won it in a raffle.

It is amazing how it increases your catch. Plus there is no guessing where the bottom is.

I am going to enter a raffle for this in the near future, if I think I can slip it by the WW.
The tickets are a tad spendy for these raffles but the odds are pretty good to win something.

i know they are so useful, but knowing how deep everything is, well that's just awesome.

Hello, new to this thread but my husband and I like to fish. Not into hunting but fishing for sure. We bought kayaks to take out on to lakes and did a lot of fishing and kayaking due to Covid. But just recently we bought some fly fishing equipment however haven’t been able to go due to work and now winter has come upon us. Any suggestions about fly fishing?

Good luck.

It appears to work best in the movies. I think it’s trick photography.

I have tried it, I have even caught small fish doing it. But mainly I have caught myself, trees, bushes, reefs and the fishing line itself.

I have gotten the flies to go as far as 6 ft from me. I think it requires great skill and patience, neither of which I have.

So I retired my fly fishing pole and reverted to a artificial cane pole. It’s safer for everyone’s eyes.

Yes that’s usually what we catch when we kayak fish and some bass too. It’s nice and relaxing.

Well darn was hoping to be a professional fly fisher so i can retired because I have developed such awesome skills. Lol. I haven’t used the pole yet so we will see what happens when I start. But either way fishing is fishing. It’s like golf, a bad day is still better than a good day at work. We just enjoy being outdoors even if we don’t catch anything. I usually catch, my husband spends more time untangling his reel.
