The hunting/fishing thread!

Brim is good but a pain to eat thanks to all the bones, and I’ve heard bass is good but I’ve never seen one big enough to eat.
Bass is good in winter and spring after June first it turns muddy.

Northerns are good, walleye are acceptable. Halibut is good.

Sunfish and Crappies are super out of cold water.

Depends where you are, when I fish in Michigan in July the bass are huge and really tasty. Caught a crappie school recently too, so tasty but so many bones :tongue

Get a sharper knife for filleting the crappies…. :gig :gig :gig :gig
And people eat the bass during the summer here too. I just prefer the firmer winter meat.
I doubt your water is colder than ours in July…with the exception of this weird year.
