The hunting/fishing thread!

We do have a super awesome sledding Hill over here but once, I was snowboarding and something happened and I crashed real bad, It knocked the wind out of me and screwed up my shoulder for a while so that's probably why I'm not ad fond of sledding as I once was but every now and then it's enjoyable 😀
Oh wow, sorry that happened to you! I can understand why you don’t like sledding then. We have a few nice hills in our yard but none of them are very dangerous, and we don’t get enough snow to snowboard.

In Utah. Fishing can be great! My kids.

Your probably going 25-30 mph with a toboggan on that hill

It's crazy
That is crazy!

This map pretty accurately describes our winter weather… although the “many bread and milk scares” line goes a little higher than that in our region. Dad and I were joking that they haven’t run out of milk in the grocery store yet (it is supposed to snow this weekend), they were running low on eggs though! Can’t belive how much ”fancy” free-range eggs cost! They now sell duck and quail eggs at our grocery store too, although today was the first time I had seen blue eggs at the store!

i have a few questions for everybody (you don't have to answer if you don't want to)

  1. have you ever been hunting before
  2. do you use a bow, a rifle or both
  3. what's your favorite hunting season
  4. do you hunt every year or at least try to
  5. what's your favorite part about hunting
hello, guess these would be my answers to your question.

1. been hunting many times, gone for elk, white tail, mule deer, black bear, and many different types of birds
2. i use either muzzleloader or rifle for big game. shotgun for birds and some times a rimfire for grouse. (very common here to hunt upland with .22s)
3. i would say black bear just the fact winter is over and everything is getting nice.
4. yes i try to hunt every year and for different species.
5. the meat, am a meat hunter.

I can't stand it how people will spend 10s of thousands to get a trophy tag and then end up getting one and and then they just cut off the head and leave the rest for the birds to eat
