The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Nice birds you got there. Is that a RIR I see?

My Black EO's just keep getting prettier every day

this is my first time owning English Orps but in my opinion they have great body types but I dont have a keen eye for flaws in this breed yet...though I do have a personal body type preference I like big, round and fluffy ...so I need someone with a more experienced eye to tell me if there are any flaws with my EO's and if so what are the flaws and how do I improve them? I am trying to breed to the English standard

Henry...he is HUGE I wish I had something to weigh him on but I would say he weighs at least 10 LBS already and he is only about 5 months old....how big are they supposed to get?...I cant imagine him getting any bigger but I know he will.

Very pretty blacks. I think they will fill out a lot more in the next few months. 5 months is young on a Orp. Nice shape to these birds

Quote: and to me she is not my prettiest one her sister I like better let me go out and see if I can get a good pic of her....BRB
ok got a few pics...it got dark before I could get any good ones but you can still see their body type.

she has the body type I like the most...not sure if it is the correct body type..but like it

same as above

here they are together....the one with the best body type in my opinion is the one with the red dot over her head...I am not going by any standard of perfection, it is just my opinion..."red" has a shorter back, rounder tail and body and shorter legs...."blue"has a longer back, upright tail, round body, and longer legs. not sure which one is "more perfect" but I like "red" the most.

They are both really nice..I do like the red dot a little better...its Hard to see A Bit Far away..classy girls.

thank you..I am very pleased with them. I am excited to see what their babies will look like! red dot is laying but her eggs are not fertile yet, the rooster is just too young I guess.
