For those of you that got a "kick" out of Lola or LOL, here's the lucky chicken nugget. This hatch has blessed me with cinnamon gold chicken nuggets! I can't believe my luck!

This is Chip with Lola in the background. Chip is posing in every picture. Just like his father! He is a chip off the "ole Rock"



One more. This one, in the background, was the only gold headed one. Chip is in the foreground.

I haven't been here at all either. Too much gloom and muck this winter, and we aren't breeding anything but geese now anyway.
I have one hen that we call Maaaaa. Anytime you get within a few feet of her, she groans. Nonstop. Kind of like Marge Simpson.

, is a German line. Her birds are beautiful. I sketch them all the time. Well, her chicks are this cinnamon gold color. Maybe these will be the nice coloring that she has.

He is very nice indeed, and that colour over a Black? As we say here 'scrumptious'!!

As for type, he is a very English type. So many of the US ones can turn out rather light in the body. I like them big and blousy and he is that!

We do too! That's why so many in the USA covet the English types! Bleh. If I wanted a slim body and a great egg layer, I'd just have gotten leghorns and/or sex links from the get go.
