The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Wow! He is gorgeous!!

Stunning type and color Nellie..

Thank you! I have him with some of my partridge hens as he has much better type than the partridge roo (and no feathers on his legs like the partridge).
Can't wait to see the chicklets!

Well Nellie, it is hard to follow your pics of the Partridge. That is one gorgeous rooster. But, I wanted to show these Orps again. I took the first 3 pics today. This is that special rooster from Bryce (Thanks Bryce) and black hens from Marc (Thanks Marc). I am expecting 4 chicks in a few days. I'm hoping to get that one out of 4 chocolate pullet. Either way, the blacks from these will be a treasure to me. This boy really has a lot of fluff below. I call him "Saddle Bags".

Edit: By special, I mean chocolate split rooster directly from an imported egg (Sandy in UK). He has a lot of potential. It makes me want to start showing. I just love the dark face on Marc's hens.

I posted this pic before. I'm reposting to show the dark face that I mentioned. Perhaps, it is more noticeable in person. I can't wait to see this size and type in Chocolate.

Here's a before and current pic of my first Red Orp chick from my Red breeding pair. To re-cap, the parents are a Greenfire hen and Marc Sacre rooster. I have more chicks. He's coming along well. I'm getting time off this coming week so I can put him on the ground. I won't know how to act with time off.

He is 2 months old now.

He's not afraid of the camera.

I'm now getting chicks from this flock of Jubilees. The rooster has a large comb, but has beautiful dark mahogany feathers. The rooster to the right in all 3 pics has been sold. I really didn't want to let him go. But, he went to a very good new home.

These are older pics. I need to get some newer ones to share.

Well, I guess that I am the only late night poster tonight. I hope ya'll like the pics.

Collection of beautiful birds; lovely photos! Enjoyed looking at each and every one! I have two pairs of Jubilee Orpingtons, and their parents are from GFF. My bloodlines are a bit too close, and am looking for couple of Jubilees from different bloodlines. Would you please tell me which bloodlines your lovely Jubilees are from?
