The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Hey guys... I have a potentially silly question...

is there a difference between "diamond jubilee" and "jubilee" ?

this person claims their "diamond jubilee" to be deep mahogany... Is there a darkening gene in "diamond jubilee" or is it just a name and he happens to have a nice dark rooster?

According to the jubilee thread, the diamonds have mil fleur with a darker mahogany base.

Yes, there is. The seller is mistaken and the bird picture is just a regular jubilee.

Diamond Jubilees have a rusty orange base while the regular Jubilee have a darker mahogany base. The amount of white has nothing to do with the two variations of color. My regular Jubilee hen below has more white but only because she is 2.5 years old and Jubilees get more white as they age. The Diamond Jubilee below is only 6 months

This hen is a regular Jubilee Orpington.

This hen is a "Diamond" Jubilee Orpington.

Wow, where did the summer go! Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is just around the corner. First I want to say HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all, Vicki, Lynnie, Dee, Alton, Roger, Bryce and anyone else I have forgotten (and the newbies I do not know). It has been some time since I have posted but I do jump on to see how everyone is doing. Hope everyone's chicklets made it through the crazy summer we had. It has been a good while since I posted any pics so thought I would share a few while I'm here. A lot of pretty eye candy on here, good job everyone! Ok, last one............... Sorry for temporarily hijacking the forum :)
Oh Wow!!! These birds are AMAZING!, Nellie.
