The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Well I just thought I would drop in & say hey to everyone but I guess I been away to long cause I dont know any of you folks here now, but its good to see that this breed is gettin so popular with everyone, anyway folks Im still here, I dont have a lot of time anymore to spend on the computer with my new job & the big move I made but its comming along, is anyone going to be at the show 0n the 14th in Penscola FL. ?

oh a few of us stop in and read the latest now and then, this thread has slowed down quite a bit!! its always nice to hear from you Roger, I have two pens of BBS now, and a split up pen of Jubilee and two spangled. really like those two colors. hope to acquire some more Spangled and Jubilee girls in the spring. all depends on prices though lol.

Hey, Roger! We're here, just extremely busy preparing for a storm that only dropped a 1/2" of snow with some ice to top it off :/

Hope all is well at the new place in AL :)
 
We drove 9hrs to pick them up and 9 Horse back along with Mottled/spangled Orps and domes Pavs. Everyone else is fine but these guys had a lot of blood in their stool after 2 days, we thought it was just one but they all dies within 24hrs of the first death.

Absolutely love these English Orpingtons! I need hens, not roos, so is my only option to order from a hatchery? Seems like breeders only offer straight run. Any chance of buying pullets this time of year?

That's awful!! They may have been getting ill before you got them too. Cocci is so quick.

What variety are you looking for? I believe Reniespeeps is up in your neck of the woods.
