This is my crew before the cold set in… brrrr. They've been mostly hiding in the coop the last few days. Anyone know what to look for with partridge coloring? Both my boys seem to have a teeny bit of color on their chest. I've read that this is good for breeding females with good color but not so good for the males as ideally the chest would be solid black….anyone?

That's true, but also why a lot of breeders of Partridge color double mate to get clear breasts on their males.

You can order chick boxes. If you google chick shipping boxes you will find lots of links. Be sure to buy pads for the boxes.
