The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I'm looking for some pure Black English Orps, preferably from Marc's bloodline, maybe someone else, I'm not very particular as long as they have exceptional type. I'm looking to continue to improve the type and diversity my Spangled flock by breeding back to great Black Orps. If anyone's looking to sell and has some, please send me a message with some pictures, or links to some. Thanks!

I have eggs out of an almost black pen...there is one very nice blue girl in there but can pull her out to collect if your interested in straight black eggs. will be available to ship April 7th and then I am moving breeding pens around so will not have an all black pen after that. If you are just looking for pullets I have none but I do have 5 week old giant black roos. can ship one when its feathered and off the heat lamp.

Good Morning! Any recommendations for marking day olds prior to using leg bands? Something that will mark them until they 're feathered out a bit.

Not sure if I can muster enough courage

if I did, which do you recommend?

I'll try it, I guess. Sure would be nice not having to change bands.

Don't have babies yet. Have some in the incubator. My favorite hen Lola and Max's babies. Keeping my fingers crossed. I also have some from Nellie's gorgeous blacks. Man, they're spectacular. Not sure if those are fertile. I even plucked the blacks, but they're so fluffy...sure hope I get babies from them too!
