The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

I should just give up on the idea that my yard needs to accommodate my dog or a garden of any kind and get ALL THE CHICKENS NOW!

I think "ALL THE CHICKENS NOW!" should be on a tshirt! lol

I'm struggling with all the cute chick pics and breeders posting upcoming hatches and projects. I need a 12-step program or to be banned from Home Depot lumber dept so I can't make more room.
So many beautiful birds on this string and I love to see the project colors and to see folks trying something new.
I need to take some new pics of my Orps. They are from Papa's and i call them my turkeys because they are so ginormous and fluffy!

Here's my holdback GL cockrel. He's only 6 months, so not quite ready for the ladies, but he really has nice size and overall type (save for the droopy wings :( ). He's been raised in a solo pen, so he hasn't had to compete with any other birds for food, and I think that has helped quite a bit. In fact, he's even larger than some other cockrels 6 weeks older than him. Expecting some really nice babies out of this guy in another couple months, especially if he keeps filling out. His lacing and color contrast are especially nice, IMO.

What is the difference in Orpington's and English Orpington's?

Sorry if there is info on this question elsewhere on this thread, but I really don't feel like looking through all 2,111 pages

Well there is several differences but basics are the American Orp is more utility based with tighter feathering and the English are more flashy with extremely fluffy feathering and a bowlibg ball looking frame.
