The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Hi everyone!

I have a dozen Orpington chicks that have hatched out in the incubator, from hatching eggs I purchased. They could be black, blue, chocolate, mauve and cuckoo of any of those colors. How can I tell what their colors will be from day olds?

I'm excited to be entering the world of English Orpingtons. :)

Black will be black, could have a little white on chest/sides of face, blue will be blue, chocolate will be chocolate, Mauve will be tan, and cuckoo will have a white dot on the top of it's head

Good luck!

Thanks! Looks like we're ending up with 11 since the last 2 didn't make it out of their shells.

I haven't taken them out of the incubator yet, but from peeking in the window it appears we have 2 chocolate, 3 blue, 1 cuckoo blue, and 5 black!

I'll get pictures this afternoon :)

Lucky! You! They sound adorable and what a great mix of colors.... Post some pics when they are ready for a photo shoot :)

Friends, I live in northeast Tennessee and have 13 lavender orpingtons. I am looking to add more colors but am not looking for blue or blacks. If someone could help me out it would be much appreciated.
