@ColtHandorf

:lau on that dog pic!

Try contacting the seller to find a resolution, exchange, refund, etc. Most will try to work with you. I sent you a PM about where I bought some of mine. OR If you know someone who can sew, they're easy to make.

Through a local Facebook chicken group I somehow managed to track down someone within ten minutes of me who is selling silver laced English Orpington chicks. I have NEVER seen this breed for sale, either at the hatchery I usually get my chicks from or locally. I'm going to go pick up my chick tonight, I am SO EXCITED AHHH

I remember that picture. That literally happened during one of our quick phone calls. 5 minutes, literally.

You should have seen what the dog did in 10 min when DH let him outside without a leash!!!!

Muddy dog part 2 + bonus material! DH was busy working from home, so he put the muddy puppy into his crate for me to clean later. Guess who knows how to easily open his crate?! The dog then left a muddy trail upstairs (where he can open all the bedroom doors) and pulled off bedspreads, dumped waste cans (and ate some of the contents :sick), TPed the bathroom, shredded tissue boxes, knocked over the serama birdcage (to eat the poop), and destroyed a stuffed animal, slipped, and sneaker. DH was focused on a screen and heard nothing the whole time ......

When I returned home, DH had to take the car to get to a meeting, so left me with the clean up.

I was too overwhelmed to take photos, and I'll admit that I considered bringing him back to the adoption agency.....

Welcome to the orp lovers club!
SLOs are even more stunning in person. They do go through a terrible awkward teen phase, but their beauty and personality make it all worth while.

Once you have one, youll be in love!

Orps were always one of my "dream flock" breeds that I just resigned myself to never getting because it seemed like they ran out so quick at the hatchery (where they only came in buff/lavender anyway), or they never were available on the hatch dates I needed, or were never available period. I've tried to get a silver laced Wyandotte instead as a kind of poor substitute for what I actually wanted, but that never seemed to pan out either.

Then when I ordered my last batch of chicks, I managed to order a silver laced Polish because silver lace is one of my dream patterns for my flock, so if I can't get it in an Orp or a Wyandotte may as well get it in my Polish. Cool, I was excited. Well the hatchery called the day before my chicks were shipped and said the silver laced chicks didn't hatch out, so I had to get either a golden laced Polish or a black white-crested Polish instead. I got the golden laced and she's adorable but still, I was wanting a silver laced chicken *so bad.*

6:15 can't come fast enough. The lady I'm getting the chicks from (going to get an Easter Egger mix from her as well) has a lavender Orp roo that is one of the most beautiful chickens I've ever seen.
