Absolutely stunning !!! I agree with Julie - THAT is what a bantam orpington should look like.

Julie - Nice looking birds you have growing out there. I might just have to have that splash boy

Jimmy - Your daughter is an inspiration - if only most young people were as ambitious and as hard-working as she is. I know you must be tremendously proud of her. Can't wait to see pictures of the birds she gets.

i will have her post pics sunday night or monday she is so happy school is almost over an she can be a full time farmer for 2 months.her cousins are coming up from va in july to stay for a few weeks they have alot of fun together will help out having some exra helpers to build some pens.

Sounds like y'all need to send some eggs to me to hatch for ya!

Out of 70 ish birds, juvies and adults I only have 7 or 8 boys (I'm not counting day olds in these numbers...)

This is the second year in a row that I've been "pullet heavy", too.

I dunno if it's something in our water, or maybe I've got a magic touch but I've got girls coming out of my ears, I actually wish I had more cockerels growing out this year.

Lemme give my bators a rest though, if you're serious. I'm thinking about another hatch towards the end of summer, like in late August or October. Right now I've got one last clutch of eggs set for a friend and then I'm unplugging them.

For real.

I will not incubate any eggs until the end of the year.

But if a broody happens to want to sit, I might let her...

ETA: I've hatched WAY too many babies this year...
