Thanks I appreciate all the positive comments. I am pretty proud of the way they look myself and really enjoy the fluffy guys running around the yard.

As far as the size they are bigger than the bantam American Orps. The cockeral in the picture is about 5 lbs.

Ellie at a few months old, she is from Julie (bama). Sadly, my splash Orp pullet from Joy died suddenly the other day - I do not know the cause. Ellie seems to be doing fine though, thankfully.

Ok!! I QUIT!!! Obviously I am not meant to have English orps!!! The saga continues!! I'm out of town and my friend who's checking my chickens calls me. My one, ONE!!!, English hen is dead!! So now after ordering 4 chicks and getting three because one was sick, ending up with 2 cockerels and a pullet in that batch, growin those out and selling one of the roosters, then order a dozen eggs and having none of them hatch, now hen dead!! Ugh!!! I have one stinking rooster!!!!!! And he tries to bet up my child and he's too big for her to do anything about it and is scared of him!! I quit!

Oh... that really stinks. I feel your pain, though. I only got four Ameraucana cockerels out of two batches of eggs.

It does make you want to throw your hands up. Are you anywhere close to East Tennessee? I have quite a few black pullets growing out because I was trying for blue. Don't give up! You know they're worth it.
