Unfortunately Bama that is a wives tale. I asked one of our vets at University and she said it is true with some reptiles, but not with birds. Hope your hatch does well.

Very pretty birds. I like the blue hens. VIVI
I did make a few pics this morning. Not great lighting and they are in there stall pens with a light. Eight weeks old and already looking broad and like little hens

Sorry this is through wire, but limited distance to shoot a pic.. You can see how broad they are and tall

Thanks Lynn. I am resting a bit too after two months of working hard and cooking tons of food and washing lots of dishes and enjoying family. I am needing a break. I haven't made soap in nearly two months for lack of time. Am about to do that this afternoon. Seems good to sit without something pressing to do.

I am checking a younger group out to see how the lower temps in the bator worked for hatching more pullets. I am afraid that is another wives tales.

Thanks for letting us know about the lower temp wives tale..some sites were convinced that would work..they get so excited that you tend to jump in on thier enthusiasm..now we know..probably a good experiment , you can say...from experience..that doesnt work.

a couple test pics..been having a lot of trouble loading pics from this android tablet..once in a while it goes smooth..not sure why that is..other times it gets stuck.
