It was a beautiful day here for pictures. The first 2 pics are of my largest Pure English Black hen and my largest Chocolate Project large fowl rooster. He's weighing in at nearly 8 pounds now.





These are my gorgeous Red English Orpingtons. The hen is Greenfire line and the rooster is from Heirloom Orpingtons. I'm expecting eggs any day now.

The chocolate is such a rich color. Sometimes pictures make them looked washed out. You've captured his color beautifully. I am so glad you are working with the Reds. Is the one in your avatar the same as the one in the last picture?

Yes it is the same hen. They apparently get a little darker in the hackles with age. I was just pushing Renie's buttons in the previous post. Just for fun.
