Here's my Gold Laced Ball


I mean my butterball. Mad Max is 8 months old today!

His leg band comes off tonight. He has maxed out "turkey" size.





We grow our boys big in the South! This boy grew despite our Georgia heat! Can't wait to see the size of his offspring which will be raised in cooler weather!!

Love those gold laced Deek. Excellent birds. So I started another painting. This time water colours. Orpingtons are fantastic!

The hen is not done yet.

Thanks Renie! All of these lovely birds are such an inspiration. I am already trying to figure out where to build more chicken runs to house all the birds I eventually end up with. Funny since I don't even have one bird yet. I have seen the term chicken math thrown around on the threads and am thinking that it is more of an affliction.
