The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Wish I could have got these on before everyone went to bed. I tried but photobucket was messing with me. These are two chocs six days old hatched from the tiny little pullets Don sent me. I am wondering if they are going to stay little. They cute fiesty little ones. One has got to be a cockerel just because of how it acts.

They are saying Momma why are we in the basket instead of chasing each other in the tub with our Bread treat.

The Chocs are just darling! I can't wait for my first Choc babies.

I have the silliest grin on my face anyone ever saw after all those pictures! Great chicks and wonderful birds!

Now I have a really crazy pic to share. My cockerel (hatched around Oct 3rd) decided he's just ready for some hen action. So he got put in with the old girls tonight in their coop for manners. Well, he was scared and looked for a hot babe to snuggle with like he's used to. Found a California Grey that is broody. Somehow I don't think she's as thrilled with the whole thing as he is:

That is so sweet..he is cuddling

Yes, he is. You'd have and to be there. She didnt' exactly welcome this cuddling and he needed it. After being this BIG MAN and insisting his "sisters" put out, he needed the cuddling. This broody didn't exactly appreciate the attention. I laughed till I cried. As I said, you'd have had to have been there, I guess.
